Martial artist who has been practicing for about 30 years to include instruction. Shorin ryu, Tang soo do, Tae kwon do. This bag is ideal for home training. Good material and rebound action. Lets you work around the bag. I can gun on this bag pretty good. I filled the base with 2 bags of sand and it stays in place for the most part. Can take another bag of sand if needed. Can you full whale and kick it over, probably if that is your goal, but it will take a pretty good kick regardless. What this bag is great for is working on your technical skills, moving, timing, etc. I have owed many bags over the years and the is the best overall for a complete bag workout. The media could not be loaded. This is a super sturdy punching bag that is great for a variety of self-defense training. I’ve spent most of my life doing taekwondo but I am currently on hiatus as it is complicated for in person training right now. But before this happened, I had wanted to get one of these for use in my home gym. My daughter does taekwondo with me, I got her an inexpensive inflatable one but even she had much prefer to work this bag than that one. This punching bag arrives in two separate pieces. The bottom is a thick but hollow piece of plastic meant to fill with sand or water. I used sand that I dried it out for several days in direct sunlight, as most places that you purchase play sand it is bagged while wet. This makes filling items like this much more difficult as it clumps as you funnel it in. You could definitely use water as an alternative, but in the event of a leak on these floors I just wasn’t willing to risk it. I only filled the base partially as the suction cups on the bottom are really effective at holding this punching bag in place. The top is also super solid so it will take whatever punches or kicks you can throw. I have some very good kicks and I’ve never gotten this thing to budge. I've been using this item for over a year due to the pandemic and not wanting to risk it to attend classes in person. Fortunately my kickboxing studio offers online love classes so I invested in this bag to keep myself consistent. The bag is excellent quality and holds up well; the one huge problem is that the suction cups don't stay on at all and keep falling off. I've tried gluing them onto the nuts and keep having to reapply them to keep them on the base which isn't great when working out as I've had to gather them between reps. If they could rework them to be permanently built into the base the this bag would be a 5 star item. Update: I was contacted by the seller/maker kd the bag and they were kind enough to send me a new base with suction cups that have the screws inserted into the cups themselves! I've filled the bag with sand as well and made sure that it won't be moved in any way. I'm grateful that the company heard my concern and excited that the bag is now perfect for me. ... show more

This is sturdier than my last heavy bag. The bag itself is very firm (which is great for training) and the stand is stable enough that I don't have to fill the base with too much water. This is useful as it allows me to lift and move the bag pretty easily, even with the suction in place (the suction cups are also good and firm). Granted I'm 105lb / 48kg so I'm not exactly packing the most powerful punches, but if you're looking for something to use at home this will do the trick. Also, customer service was excellent. FedEx lost the heavy bag and only delivered the base, and the seller very speedily arranged for a refund and a replacement. The item then came through without a hitch the second time round. Easy to put together and great it came with extra parts. Have to put sand in the bottom of the stand or you just knock it straight over. It came in 2 different day deliveries. I contacted the seller and they were super nice and explained why I only had the stand 1st.

just as a warning to others: the base and the bag ship separately, and they may not arrive on the same day. i think mine arrived about a week apart, and i was initially worried because i was given only one tracking number until i emailed them. they responded promptly and gave me the other tracking number for the base—so i was quite happy with the customer service! it’s a low profile punching bag. a thicker bag would be more satisfying to punch, but i do appreciate how little room this bag takes up in comparison. on the bright side, it makes your punches more accurate because there’s less surface area available to hit! so in the end you win some, you lose some. the base comes empty obviously, you can choose whether or not to fill it up with sand/water/etc. the bag is made of vinyl so if you decide to leave it outside, make sure you use some sort of cover to protect it from weather damage. overall, decent for the price! ... show more

I have a 12 year old son that is very happy with this purchase. A grown man could use this too, albeit not for testing punches with real power behind them. But for a workout this will suffice. For a young teenager it's more than enough.
