In short, they are extremely cheaply put together. Opening the box was… interesting. Whoever had the tape gun that day shouldn’t be allowed around sharp object. There was tape everywhere. The parts seem decent, but they must have been assembled is way too much of a hurry. Parts like where the top light is attached weren’t tightened down correctly, so when you go to screw the socket into it it comes loose and the nut is on the inside of the part, so you can’t fix it. As others mentioned, the top light is quite dim. It looks to be a 40w fridge light and I swapped them out with 60w standard bulbs that are about 2x as bright. The shade is a strip of plastic material that’s tightly rolled up in the box and you have to attach to a frame. Due to being tightly rolled it’s nearly impossible to get it to stay flat again, so it doesn’t stay perfectly in shape. It’s a minor thing, but I notice it. Would I buy them again? No. Are they bad enough that they’re worth the effort of returning? No. I’ll keep them and just know that they won’t have a long life span. ... show more

They look better than expected, especially once I opened the box and saw the assembly required. The shade was rolled and needed assembly, which wasn’t too bad. The Velcro on the shade frame works, but you rally need to align the corners correctly for it to fit just right. I would buy again, as they are good value for the money. ... show more

I love the look of the lamp bases, however, the shades I'm finding difficult to assemble and I don't care for the black stripe, so I swapped them out with some from Menards. I mistakenly thought that the 3 levels of brightness was the main lamp bulb, but it's actually for the nightlight Edison bulb. The bulbs included for the main lamp are way too dim, so I also substituted with other bulbs that i had. ... show more
