The media could not be loaded. First off ignore my messing kids room, we had to move a bunch of toys before putting the bed up. That said, the bed is made of very thick surprisingly great wood! Stuffs not made like this anymore I was very happy with it. Our home is over 100 years old so upstairs has shorter ceilings so a normal bunk wouldn’t fit, this is literally the size of a loft bed! It’s perfect height!!!! Fits with plenty of room to the ceiling and it’s not all hot on top bunk since it’s lower than normal! My kids love it so much! The slide is actually pretty good size, my kids thought it was going to be small and they were thrilled to see how big it is. It makes them so fast so kinda have to put pillows on the bottom of slide if you have hardwood like we do lol. Little downward slant to the slide to first get started so that’s weird but the kids don’t mind at all. My two 10 yr olds and 6yr old and their friend 6 also and 5 were all taking turns one at a time down the slide and they can’t stop talking about it. It can handle some kids clearly. Great bed. I have a full on the bottom instead of a twin so I didn’t use the frame for the twin bed on bottom and it fits a full beautifully with extra room. I am 5’8 and that’s how tall it comes up to me. I set up a kajillion of kits we buy from Ikea, Amazon, Target, etc... The wood for this bed is good and solid and the paint is thick and smooth. Definitely feels heavier than other cheaper wood furniture kits. I would say that the bottom bed only comes with 7 cross wooden slats for the mattress which is not enough at all if you are putting a mattress straight on. I would recommend not using them at all or making some extras. We had a taller mattress and ended up not using the wooden slats since the mattress went on the floor. Something to keep in mind. Beware, I just received this item and experienced an issue with a piece that resulted in breaking and there is no phone number to call for help or replacement parts. Two hours of labor lost to build, and another two hours to take it down and box up but I guess that this is what we get for purchasing cheap stuff on Amazon from Asian companies. What good is a piece of furniture without support? ... show more

I had a lot of confusion going on because the bolts were not labeled so I had to go by the picture. And the instructions said to use short bolts for certain areas, it was wrong because they couldn't fit. The back of the bed seemed loose but the instructions mentioned nothing for putting a bolt in place. The part to put the poles in the bed for the top bunk was hell, I had to figure out how to strategically place all the unscrewed poles in place because every time I would screw in the important support pole it was hard to get the others in because it would "lock" them in a position that's impossible to work with getting the others in. This project isn't a one-person job-friendly thing, you might want or need a partner, and this thing is mentally draining as well as physically. But after I got the job done after some hours, my kids would slide on this thing for four or so hours later. ... show more
