Be advised that this wire is almost completely tin, with very little copper. Any attempt to strip the tin coating would damage the wire, assuming there is any decent amount of copper there, which I am highly skeptical of. This should be advertised as "tin wire".

This seller is falsely advertising the product I purchased (18AWG Stranded). The wire itself has no rating on it. Any 600V wiring will state those ratings on the insulation. All the wires just had 200°C over and over again, except the black wire which also had 18AWG stamped on it and felt thicker than the others. I don't believe the other colors were even 18AWG. I used this product for automotive wiring. The wires are wires. The one dig I have against them is that in my application I found them to be too flexible. I was using them to apply a terminal onto the end of the wire for purposes of installing into a plug connector. The problem I had/have is that waterproof/water resistant plugs are a snug fit and it was VERY difficult to feed the terminated end of this wire through the back of the connector in order for it to clip into the connector in the plug (at the front) - about a 3/4" - 1" distance inside the plug head itself. Instead of threading through the back of the plug easily, as most 20 gauge wire would do, this wire would just bend up and coil up on itself as you attempted to feed it through, requiring me to use a tiny object to help push the terminated end (from the back) all the way forward until it clipped into its slot at the front of the plug. Far from ideal, as I likely nicked the coating of the wire trying to feed it through the back of the plug. Since it's "inside" the plug the fact that I nicked the insulation shouldn't be of any concern, but it's far from ideal and for that reason - if you're needing ANY rigidness to the wire & insulation for purposes as I described here, consider an alternative wire type. ... show more

    • Glue does not work. Not good for repairing charger cables.
Size: 3:1 Shrink Tubing kit
The size and number of pieces are good. Storage box is also nice. But the shrink ratio seems to be Doubtfull. Because it does not shrink properly. Secondly the glue does not work even after shrinking the tube remains loose and. No glue function. i asked the seller he suggested to use heat gun or hair dryer i tried but not helpful. Moreover excessive heating is not good as it damage the tubing and sometimes it burnes the tube but no glue function. I purchased this to repair my charging cables but it is not useful. Not working proper. I heated as per the seller suggestion to activate the glue but instead it melted my cable. I don’t know about those Excellent reviews but it does not work with me. I will be returning this. I do not recommend this product. ... show more

This 18 gauge wire is easy to use and not overly stiff. Quality wire inside the insulator, too. Thicker strands that doesn't just come apart like many of the cheap quality, lighter gauge wire out there. I really like the box it comes in to help with wire distribution. Don't remove the velcro strips wrapping the wire as that helps keep the wire from unspooling inside the kit as you use it. I have been in the dash of my 66 Chevy truck redoing wiring I paid a custom shop to do. Who knew custom meant leaving wires loose, disconnected, and electrical taped in bundles? I needed this in addition to a t-connector kit to finish up some of the incomplete work. Worth the money. This kit is high quality and worth the money. I plan to buy again to stock my shop. ... show more

Wire is nice, braided wire in 6 distinct colors with nice, flexible insulation. The wire was neatly wrapped and secured by the plastic velcro strips to the left of the box in the first picture. The holes in the box for each wire were pre-cut but not completely punched out, but you just have to poke out each on with the tip of a ball point pen and then insert the wire to get a nice dispenser (second picture. I am using these for wiring JST connectors for an e-bike, and the wire is slightly large for crimping on those prongs and sockets but will work. ... show more

    • Soft like calf’s leather.
Very malleable wiring that cuts and crimps easy and carries all of your electric charges in an orderly fashion. Seriously supple stuff, but vegan friendly all the same (it’s not ACTUALLY calf’s leather... just silicon). I’m using it for wiring harnesses on 3D printers. The malleable nature of silicon means that wires that move a lot are less prone to breakage vs PVC sleeving. Silicon is quite heat-resistant, though this isn’t what you’d want right up against a 250°C hotend. But it’s good stuff. Worth giving a shot. ... show more
