Features

  • CAT EXPERTS: By Tuft & Paw, a modern cat brand based in North America, loved and trusted by thousands of cat parents, and backed by cat behaviourists.
  • TOFU CAT LITTER: Made with highly absorbent soybean byproduct, our unique formula allows for fast clumping and breaksdown quickly in water. Tofu Litter is 100% flushable preventing it from going to a landfill.
  • DUST-FREE & LOW TRACKING: Clean home, healthy air. Really Great Cat Litter is screened 3x for dust during manufacturing, and our unique pellet shape prevents litter sticking to cat's paws, keeping your floors sparkling.
  • 100% FLUSHABLE & CLUMPING: For quick, easy cleaning. A small amount of liquid causes it to clump, while a large amount of liquid causes it to break down, making it safe to flush down the toilet.
  • ODOR CONTROL & UNSCENTED: No artificial fragrances or dyes are used to ensure your cat's safety and comfort. Charcoal is added to naturally control unwanted odors.

Scent: Unscented
I’ve tried quite a few litters over the years, and this is one of the best natural options I’ve used. It’s very low dust, tracks much less than clay litter, and clumps quickly into firm scoops that are easy to remove. Odor control is also impressive, even in a multi-cat household. The only downside is the price—it costs more than most traditional litters—but the cleaner floors and minimal dust make it worth it for me. If you’re looking for a lightweight, tofu-based litter that’s easy to maintain, I’d definitely recommend giving this one a try. ... show more

  • Really great cat litter indeed
Scent: Unscented
I love this litter! We started using it for travel as it's flushable and easier than bringing bags on trips but it's now our full time litter. It clumps very fast and the clumps are solid enough that they don't break up into little pieces when agitated like clay litter can. There's no perceptible dust and the tracking is minimal, even with my long haired cat! I don't think my cat loves the texture, when we were still using clay he would choose the clay box nearly every time. He doesn't reject this litter though, we haven't had any issues with accidents since we've been using it full time. It doesn't seem to irritate his paws and his litter box behavior hasn't changed at all. I do think it's expensive, especially because you really need to purchase two bags at a time if you have an XL box. I have a 24" stainless steel box for my ragdoll and while one bag fills it, it does need to be topped off at least once a week so we're going through more like 1.5 bags every 30 days. It also requires a scoop with large slots, I use a speed sifter. The scoop that came with my box does work, but it requires a lot of agitation to separate the clumps from the pellets and I don't find that this litter is the best for poop odor control. I don't smell urine at all however. TLDR; this is my favorite litter but there's some compromise. ... show more

  • Really Great Stuff -- just ask the cat
Scent: Unscented
I know cat litter is a personal preference, but I don't know how anyone could rate this less than 5 stars. I have had a multi-cat household for 30 years, and I have fussy Himalayan cats. With my last bunch, I used the Breeze system, which I initially thought was ingenious -- I loved that it was low-tracking, and even lower on dust. My older cats died a few years ago, and after a short breather, I got some new kitties. I tried and kept them on the Breeze system for about a year and a half, and neither of them seemed to like it. In fact, one of my girls developed a terrible habit of peeing outside the box but pooping inside. It wasn't until I switched to this litter that she began to pee inside the box again. This littler is much more environmentally friendly, hides odors, and clumps beautifully. It doesn't track like other clumping litters and has almost no dust. While my cats have not told me in words that they prefer it, they sure do ACT like they love it. Yes, it's expensive, but it's worth every penny to me. ... show more

  • The best by far
Scent: Unscented
Over the years we've tried them all, to include many expensive automatic box contraptions and pee pad drainage systems, but this litter in a plain ol' litter box is by far the best solution. My husband saw an ad on Facebook to try it out for free, and given our recent litter box frustrations, we thought - "Hmmm tofu? Sure, why not." - Our three cats took to it right away. We were also pleasantly surprised to see [and smell] that they all now bury their poo. So, I guess they quite enjoy doing their business in this litter as well. Selfishly though - it's great at: smell control to a point of almost nothingness, keeping the tracking down to nearly nonexistent, and clumping; making 1&2 waste disposal extremely easy. Our latest litter saga was with the purple-labelled pine pellet clumping kind. It was good, even though frustrating at times and a big time suck looking back, but given our time in testing litters over the years, we believed we had settled on the best one our money could buy. Then we tried Tuft+Paw, and discovered we were absolutely incorrect. Unlike clumping pine pellets, Tuft+Paw absorbs the urine immediately to form a clumped ball instead of disintegrating into a fine wet dust that takes time to harden. If the pine has a chance to harden, it's fine, no harm, no foul. But, this became a huge problem after we adopted our third cat. Even with multiple boxes they would still choose to share and would kick up each others messes before this drying process could happen. Tracking became a problem, smell became a problem, and contaminated unused litter pellets became a problem. To keep our wallets from hemorrhaging, we ended up having to sift the dust from the "clumping" litter every few days just to keep these problems at bay. We almost switched back to the regular farm bedding kind because we were basically dealing with the same issues that litter presents, but paying three times as much. But, thankfully, this litter came into our lives to save the day. Since switching, all of these problems seemingly vanished overnight. It now takes us no more than 3 mins per box each day to keep them tidy. Unlike clumping pine, one bag of Tuft+Paw lasts awhile because the unused pellets are not contaminated, so one just needs to replenish the pellets and do full box change when it starts to get a stinky [which after 15 days hasn't happened yet, and at this rate even with 3 cats, will probably exceed a month]. In this and on top of the aforementioned features and benefits of this litter, the price tag absolutely makes sense. We also signed up for the subscription service on their website, which knocks the price down quite a bit as well. If you are thinking about trying it because you like a clean house, and value your time, the health of your pets, and the environment, do it! I really can't recommend this litter enough! ... show more

  • It's good litter, but I didn't like it 🤷🏼♀️
Scent: OdorStop
I really didn't find this litter to be all that amazing. It still tracked a bit outside the litter box, it's a bit harder to sweep up when you're chasing the pellets around, and it's messier when you're sifting out the waste. It smells funny, to me - it does hide the smell of the cat waste, but I could not get past the smell when cleaning the box. I don't know how to describe it. It does clump really well, maybe a little too well, as my kitty goes in the same spot and it would turn into a wet putty texture that I had to scrape off. Cat didn't mind the change from regular litter to this, had no issues as far as that. It is very light weight, and was clean... I just didn't like it. ... show more

  • Pricey but effective!
Scent: Unscented
This is my favorite cat litter I have used because it truly does not track around the house like typical litter. The smell and dust content are also great with masking. With that being said, it’s too unaffordable to continuously buy, so I have switched to Tidy cats because of that. The

  • DEFINITELY A WINNER
Scent: Unscented
I empathize with everyone else who has tried 'every type of litter.' I have. Clay is a heavy smelly dusty dirty misery. The crystals were dusty and tracked like crazy, and so did all the 'natural' corn/walnut shell/et al products. Pellets are a huge improvement - but the wood pellets I tried disintegrated so readily that dust built up in the box within a couple days. Zeolite pellets were great - but you need the specialized box and pads - which weren't bad, BUT, a strong ammonia odor becomes prevalent after a couple weeks. SO at my son's suggestion I tried tofu pellets. I've sampled four brands, and they all performed about the same - dust is MINIMAL, tracking MINIMAL, odor MINIMAL (I have not used a scented variety), CLUMPING is great due to the starches added to these products - please note that the starches will cause the clump to stick to the box till the clump has a chance to dry a bit, after which the clump will pop off. But every clump diminishes the amount of litter left in the box, so be ready to replenish regularly! Tofu litter IS Expensive!!! I had to adjust my budget. But I am happy with the overall performance. Maybe it costs the companies a lot to source, produce & market. Anyway, this litter is a medium grey due to charcoal added for odor control so it does not look as 'pretty' as the whitish brands - but the charcoal is a good functional addition so I accepted the color. ... show more

  • Love this litter
Scent: OdorStop
My original box was punctured and the litter bag was ripped open upon delivery, but it was replaced quickly. I love this litter. I purchased it on recommendation of a friend who uses it with her kitten. I went with the odor stop because my current litter really wasn’t doing the trick, and I was going through it too quickly, and litter isn’t cheap these days, so this was a win-win for me and my cats! I would highly recommend this litter, especially if you have multiple cats. It has a very light smell which is pleasant, and it clumps very well. My cats knock a tiny bit out of the box when they come out, but it’s really not that trackable compared to other litter, and it’s super easy to clean. It’s also much lighter to carry up three flights of stairs, compared to my old litter. ... show more
