This bed looks like a good value on paper and I decided to give it a try. However when the box arrived it was a bit tattered. This is understandable for packages this bulky and heavy, given the abuses they had to endure while in transit. I checked the parts before assembling and found a part missing. It was a metal joint vital for holding bed parts together. I reached out to the vendor and they promptly sent me the missing part, providing tracking number as well. Upon receiving that part I began assembling the bed. It took about 2-3 hours. The parts fitted well and the final product is sturdy and stylish. Unfortunately I then discovered that the headboard had a few scratches, again possibly due to bumps in transit. When I notified the vendor of this problem, they were most forthcoming in offering either a discount or replacing the headboard. I opted for the latter. This time the replacement part arrived fully padded and packed in double cartons to ensure damages will not occur. I replaced the scratched part and now have a most pleasing and comfortable bed. The customer service provided by this vendor is one of the best I have ever come across in my many years of shopping with Amazon. Truly recommend. ... show more

I typically never leave reviews but I figured I would to make the next person that purchases a bit easier. The bed frame description says a 10/12 inch mattress (no box spring needed) which I suppose is true. However, by only doing this you will be sleeping EXTREMELY low to the floor. I currently have a pregnant 39 week wife. Only having the bed frame and mattress I was extremely uncomfortable for her. We purchased a 7 inch box frame and it’s just a tad bit too high but manageable. In order to have the perfect bed with this order, you need a combination of 15 inches. 10 in mattress, 5 inch box spring would be perfect for this. I am giving this a 5 start because the bed frame once put together is beautiful. Wish I would have had someone leave a review like this for me. Assembly was on easy side, a little time consuming. It’ a problem putting the headboard together the screws didn’t fit the bed and bought a drill it didn’t screw the bolts in the bed. Next I will purchase already put together.
