I recently lost a bunch of weight and my health coach recommended I get some strength training in addition to the cardio I normally get. She recommended this. I don’t know what separates this from the set that’s like $50 more expensive, but I was shocked how sore this made my arm muscles from my first workout (in a good way). I was skeptical that using a fraction of my body weight would be enough of a workout, but was pleasantly surprised when I worked up a sweat and my muscles ached for a few days afterward. It takes a bit of faith that you will not fall on your back or face when you do the severe leans, but using the door mount method hasn’t let me down yet. Like the promotional materials say, it is super portable (I am even considering taking it to work to get a workout on my lunch) and pretty easy to use. You can download an app and get a free trial to test their guided workouts, but I’ve held off on that so far while I get used to it. I’ll likely do the trial at some point when I can take better advantage of the short time period it’s free. Overall, I’m happy with this purchase.

This TRX thing is awesome! I've always enjoyed exercising, but it's never been this fun. Even after my morning workout, I find myself wanting to use it again later in the day. That's how much I love this stupid thing. The best part is that it's actually challenging me more than free weights or other exercises do, which is great. I bought the $130 TRX equipment. I'm not sure what the more expensive ones have that this one doesn't. Anyway, it's a simple concept, easy to use, and based on how much I paid for it, I'm going to assume it will last forever :) I also got the TRX workout mat, and Love that as well. I swear I don't work for the company, I'm just really excited about how much I like using this system. (P.S. Although I do like exercising, it's not like a personality trait or anything. I'm in OK shape, but definitely not someone you would want to follow on YouTube . . . unless you like a good dose of swearing with your morning exercise routine. I just thought I should clarify.)

The trx training bands are pretty decent for shoulder rehab. I was injured pretty badly and dislocated my shoulder. My physical therapist suggested purchasing the system. Not sure how effective they are in building the vanity muscle. The stabilizers get a killer workout. I had initial soreness pretty bad in the triceps. But in a weird portion of my triceps. I'm up to 60 lbs on press downs, but the body weight exercises are hard to measure because it's all about the angle of the leaning that you are doing and it's hard to recreate that perfectly every workout. Im sure I could make a stencil on the floor but i definitely move around alot. There's some suggested exercises that just look dumb. There's others that look like a reach for marketing. I'd say if you have an upper body injury this can be helpful if done consistently. If I bought it to work out with to get a strong body then I'd be unhappy. Guess that's what the rest of my gym is for. The product was in the cart and I wanted it. If you are a casual excerciser then this will probably just sit somewhere collecting dust and one or 2 uses. It won't give you the motivation you crave. Though I like the product, I could have gotten the same effect with using ropes for $10

So, I've been needing to work on my lunges, squats and push ups. But, I'm not real stable when I do them independent of holding onto anything. Plus, I have a wrist injury that makes standard pushups impossible right now. Add to that, no time to get to the gym...and here we are. I attached these traps to the roof post of my porch/deck, since it was the most stable and sturdy to hold my weight. And I can just go out there and knock out reverse lunges, squats and reverse pushups whenever I want during the day. It allows me to go as deep of a squat, and if I get stuck, I can use the straps to pull myself up just far enough until my leg muscles and core can take over again. And those are just the exercises I started out with. I have found so many others I can do with these. I totally recommend them!

Sometimes cheaper is exactly that- cheaper. This is exactly like the TRX strap system that I use when I go to the TRX studio with the same quality. Don’t buy those cheaper brands.
