We've been using a propane heater on our patio, it puts our great heat, but the propane was getting expensive. We got this heater in the hopes it would replace the gas heater. It would work well if our patio were mostly enclosed and we had about 10 of them. It has about the same heat output as a regular old radiant space heater. The main difference is that this one sits higher than a regular space heater so you're even further away from the heat. If you intend to buy this for use on a patio, buy a thin blanket made of mesh instead. It'll be cheaper and keep you warmer.

This heater does very well on what it’s supposed to do ... heat a room fully and efficiently. It’s got a nice sleek design that fits most room decors. Where it loses points for me .. the digital temperature setting only shows the setting, and does not alternate with the actual room temperature (Many competing models alternate). Also, when put in rotation mode, once the desired temperature is reached, although the heat and the fan turns off, but the unit still rotates. Finally, the remote is a joke. But frankly, I’ve had other models from other manufacturers and none of those remotes work either, unless you're, like, 18 inches away. I have no idea why they include these. But overall, like I said, it heats a room great, and that’s all I really need it to do.

I ordered this for my mom, since she is always cold. We put it in her business, which is about 750sq feet. Customers are usually opening the door to come in and go out pretty frequently. Well, we turned this thing on and boy did it heat up the office quickly and efficiently. I was very impressed with how it managed to heat up the entire space. We had to turn it off bc it worked so well. It's pretty quiet and out comes with a remote so that was handy. The remote is pretty small though, and I've already lost it. Lol. It seems like it would be OK around animals. I have two dogs but they don't really mess with things, so I don't know about dogs that like to be into everything. I definitely recommend this heater!

It's only a few days old and on its 2nd day of service. Because the heat output is mainly at the bottom, I tried putting in on a table. However, it makes sounds then. Like a ticking. I had to put it back on the carpet... the heat basically just goes to my feet now. You can't complain at the price, I guess, but ... how much effort would beta-testing be? Nobody wants a heater that outputs heat only in the bottom of the item.

I didn’t want to deal with propane any more, so gave this heater a try. Heat output was good for approx. a 6-7ft circumference. Easy to assemble (5 simple steps) and easy to operate with a pull string for 3 levels of heat. I like that it’s easy to store indoors when not using.
