This is our family’s third enclosure by this brand. We bought one after adopting our first cat three years ago. Then we got one for my son who has a cat in his apartment. And now we just adopted two kittens so they have one in their designated room. They are sturdy, nice looking, and easy to put together. Doors swing open nicely and stay closed with a magnet in the top center corners. Accessing the litter box inside is easy. It’s roomy, but some extra-large trays might not fit so be sure to measure the trays before buying. Cleaning is convenient. I keep a handheld vacuum close by for litter inside the enclosure that gets kicked out of the tray or for the little bit that they track out by the side doorway. I wipe it with wet paper towel and unscented soap periodically. Let it dry well or the floor might eventually begin to break down. It’s just painted particle board, after all. After assembling it, I kept the doors off and left it empty in the cat’s room for a few days for them to adjust. They explored it going in and out and on top. Then I put their tray in with no doors for 2-3 days, adding the doors one at a time. So after a week, they were completely comfortable using it. I understand that some people have the thoughts that littler boxes should be wide open, but none of our cats seem to have any issue using this. I looked at this and three others for over an hour on Tuesday. I was so torn because of the reviews. I went ahead and ordered it and I am glad I did. I got it in Gray. UPS delivered it I am guessing because of the weight and I was happy about that because my UPS guy actually puts things on my porch out of the weather. Anyway step 4 pissed me off in the assembly directions however once completed it was awesome. I might mention that I had to use a standard size cat pan with no lid as it indicated it would hold a large cat box and it will not. They main selling feature to me was not being able to see a litter box and most importantly was it keeping my cat poop loving dog out of it. It was packaged pretty good and each piece was wrapped with something to prevent scratches. No Cracks, crumbles, or chipped paid. I was so glad cause other people talked all about that and it nearly made me not buy it. So all in all get it. Don't over analyze the deal just get it. The gray is gorgeous. Oh and as an added bonus I put my cats food and water on top. Another great feature to keep the dog minding her own business. ... show more

Im giving it 4 stars because XL isn't really XL. That said it took about 2 hours to put together with an electric screw driver. Instructions weren't great but visually laying everything out first helped. Got it all together added litter box and waited. Showed cats the new box location and waited. After a couple days one is using it regularly. The other cat is a tad bigger so im not sure the openings are comfortable for him. I wish I had known about this type of hide the litterbox sooner. The concept is really cool and no cat box smell. I probably would not have included the 2nd opening on the inside of the box to give them more room, but not disappointed. WARNING - I made modifications to this item and this isn’t what it looks like as assembled by the company’s intended drawings. My cat’s litter box is in my office. Since the pandemic started and I work from home more often, the dust has not been kind to my sinuses so a friend gave me the idea of this box. BUT - I’m old. And my cat is old. I didn’t want to have to pull the litter box in and out (it’s heavy at my age) and older cats aren’t a fan of change, so I made some modifications. First - because my cat does not like change I started with just the base and 3 sides and let him walk into the box any way he wanted for a while. After a few days when he was used to where it was located, I added the top. I’ve added one door since then, but will not add the other door for a few more days. Second - I don’t want to have to pull the litter box in and out of this piece of furniture so I put the lid on hinges (4 is over kill, but they are cheap) and installed an arm to hold the lid up in place. Because I have an XL litter pan, I did not use the insert panel inside. Instead I used that piece to help create the arm to hold the lid up and make it look more aesthetic. The piece of furniture is genius and I love it. I love that I can hide Bubba’s litter box, keep the dust down AND it looks pretty good when closed, even with my modifications. If the manufacturer reads this, I hope you consider a future edition that has hinges to lift the lid. It allows me to clean the litter box without having to lift it. ... show more

This litter box enclosure is great! Took only a little bit over an hour to build and the instructions were easy to follow. I like the way it looks and hopefully my cat will like it too! It would be awesome if the top could open instead of the doors but besides that I really have no complaints.

    • A brand new item shouldn't need fixing.

I live in a very small studio apartment, so this looked as if it'd be perfect for my needs. However, prior reviewers weren't wrong when they described it as flimsy. This took a while to put together- specifically because one of the drawer's pre-drilled holes for the screws, was messed up and so the pieces wouldn't stay together. I'm going to have to purchase glue and different screws in order to make the left door work. Secondly, the measurements provided on here really didn't seem accurate to me. Based on what other people commented, the litter box I already own should have fit just fine, since it's fairly small. However, this wasn't true at all. The interior box was much more narrow than I was expecting, so now I need to order a new litter box. I intend to make it work- but I think future buyers should be aware that what you get might need some "fixing" even though it's brand new. If it had been some dents from shipping I wouldn't be quite so disappointed... however the damaged holes were clearly a lack of quality control from the company and I shouldn't have to spend more time/money fixing a brand new item that cost over $100. ... show more

This is one of those "you get what you pay for" scenarios. It's clearly particle board with a veneer and cheap hardware. (For example, the doors aren't on real hinges -- just top and bottom metal dowel pins.) Also, the instructions are IKEA style, but not very clear. I had to put the railings on twice because the instructions didn't indicate which side of the top they went on. However, for $120, it's a bargain. It hides the litter box well and looks ok in its assembled form. If you want a high-quality piece of furniture, this isn't for you, but if you want something functional and effective (and you don't mind taking an hour or two to build it), this is great. My only hesitation about buying it again would be a design choice. The access doors are on the front, which means to clean the litter box, I have to get on my knees in front of the cabinet and awkwardly stick the scoop between the box and the room, holding it from the side. I think it would be much easier if the top of the cabinet lifted up, so I could scoop from above. ... show more
