These are really well made the rubber is firm. Don't expect to be able to clamp down on your work piece with the same force as you would with just the steel jaws the rubber will squash and you might damage these pads but you can clamp pretty tight. I'm happy the package came with two sets so I can use one set at home and the other at work. These are a good deal for two sets of this quality and I'm sure I will get a lot of use out of them.

These pads provide a nice, non-marring surface for my vise. The pads are soft but not squishy, which is good. I love that it is a package of TWO sets of pads. The magnets need to be larger and/or stronger.

I use these soft jaws all the time, mostly when I am putting together ptfe hoses but that's not all. They come in handy any time I want to protect the surface of what I am clamping down on, or if I am trying to prevent the material from deforming. The rubber alone bites and holds objects very securely, it's not very often something slips after being clamped down on. I still need some aluminum soft jaws but these work most of the time.

These would not stay on the vice when trying to clamp anything. The rubber ends are really nice but the magnets need to be much larger and stronger. Returned.
