I recently saw that this bar stool could be purchased pre-assembled. That's the only way to go if you're determined to buy these stools. However it won't change the fact that the quality of these stools are very low. Parts do not align properly to pre-drilled holes and the circumference of the bottom and especially the top ring was too small and did not match up properly to the legs. This put a lot of stress on the provided screws which can be easily stripped when parts do not align properly. It's a shame really as the stools look great.     • Great Stool!! Carefully assemble, and it’s just Great!

With trepidation I ordered this after reading hundreds of reviews. When I got it, I took my time and put it together utilizing some hints from other thoughtful customers. Hints like contrary to instructions (they’re awful!), install the upper and lower leg stabilizing rings at the same time. Don’t tighten until the fit is right. A little wiggle here & there will make it fit perfectly - then tighten down well. I also used Lock-Tite as recommended by some. When applied to the bolts, they won’t back off with age. I have been using the stool for months now and find it solid with no fears of stability. The seat is very comfortable for my Big Can & no complaints from me as some have groused in the comments. It’s a great stool! I’ve sat on it for hours and I have no complaints whatsoever! It’s passed my inspection, assembly, months of use. Now what remains is how will it do a few years from now? I’ll check back then and let you know if I can! ... show more

These bar stools are awesome! I have four of them at my bar and absolutely love them. They look good, are very sturdy (I've had a 270+ pound person sit on them with no problems), and about as comfortable as you could expect a bar stool to be. My only complaint is that after 3 or 4 margaritas they begin to tilt noticeably to the left. :-) ... show more

I bought these stools to use as cashier stools at the point of sale in a retail store. I immediately noticed that they don't really sit level even with adjusting the plastic feet on the bottom. We ended up removing the feet entirely and that seems to work. The biggest issue that I have with them is that the hardware falls out of them regularly because we are constantly moving the chair back and forth to access the register. They aren't super comfortable and they squeak. We've had them for close to a year I think and the cushion is pretty beat at this point which you can see in the first picture. The redeeming qualities are that they are durable if you can keep the hardware in them. They are sturdy. We have some big boys working here and they hold up no problem. These also represent a good value even if it's not the highest quality best product. You do get quite a bit for your money. I wouldn't discourage anyone from buying these if you need a sturdy stool at a good price. I would recommend using thread locker on the hardware and using real legitimate hand tools to assemble them. ... show more

Yes, the instructions aren't the best, but these are pretty easy to figure out without them. Like one other person suggested in their review, I'd recommend starting all of the screws in the two support rings before tightening them down. May need to apply a little pressure to get the holes lined up, but I didn't really have much of an issue. Sure a little Loctite might be a good idea, although I didn't use it. Not too concerned about it. (edit after having for a month: don't use these very often, but sure enough had a screw laying on the floor beneath the stool, so I guess I DO recommend Loctite).The only reason I deducted a half point, is that I hoped the seat would've been more comfortable. It doesn't really have much "give"....not a lot of padding there. Yes, it's a bar stool and not a recliner, but I just hoped they would be a bit more comfortable. Other than that, they look great, and I really didn't struggle to put them together. For sure, the 2nd stool goes together much more quickly than the first. I wouldn't sweat the installation piece. Not a big deal. Very pleased with these, and would buy them again. ... show more

I looked for some time for a nicely built stool for my workshop. I looked on many websites, including Amazon. At a lot of price points and no back versus having a back on the stool. Almost all of the reviews of a stool with a back were negative because of the back being small or not in the right height. Also, there were many negative reviews on many stools about the quailty and how hard it was to assemble. This stool however is built very well. It is study under my 230 pounds. It swivels nicely/smoothly. It was easy to assemble and they provide the tools (I do suggest using your own metric open end wrench though). You just need a hammer (I used a rubber hammer) and a screwdriver. The fit and finish are quite nice; I wouldn't hesitate to have this in my bar. It sat flat on the floor; no wobble.
