Works great! Took a few tries to make sure we got it seated and tightened correctly. Pro: It can even hold up me and my 6yo. Very strong so long as you seat it correctly. Minor con: joint that holds the swing clips is almost a diamond shape, so our 2 clips "click" as they constantly shift from one or the other being on top of each other as the swing moves. It scared my son the first few times thinking it was "cracking", but after double checking everything and also testing it with our weight, we were able to reassure him it was just the clips.

Love the item. Was bought as a branch to hang a dog toy on (🤦🏻♀️). Works very well for what it was bought for. Hanging it was a two man job and did not take the 45 minutes, as stated (I believe). But other than that, it’s awesome.

Seems to work well, but the install is not trivial. I put this on a pine with a 18 in diameter. It worked well and seems sturdy and solid. It was a bit difficult to install. They are not joking about a 10 ft ladder being required - and I would say that’s the MINIMUM is you want the arm up at it’s full 9 ft rated install height, you are more looking at a 12 ft ladder being desired. The instructions are well written, but complex - careful reading and rereading was required. I messed up the final strap by installing it wrong side out and had to redo it - which caused some harsh language to be deployed. This despite reading the instructions quite carefully and picking the outward facing side deliberately. I recommend definitely reading and thinking through the ramifications of all of the actions in the directions prior to taking actions. I’m a little concerned about how the nylon ratchet straps are going to hold up in the long term, but I’ll keep an eye on it. I’m also a bit concerned about the health of the tree in the long haul as well. Again, it’ll be something to keep an eye on. I’m not sure if it’s better to have something strapped this tight to the tree instead of dropping half a dozen lag bolts into it …

Living where trees do not usually have "arm" branches, this Build A Branch is fantastic. It fits snugly to the tree without damaging it and stays secure with kids (even boys) swinging from it.

The media could not be loaded. It is exactly as it shows in the picture. Good quality and sturdy. It is strong and takes adult weight easily I had a my handyman crew set up the backyard swings so they did this one too. Thanks to this tree extension, i could get a nice disc "Tree swing"

We returned the first one because we thought it was missing pieces (the box came beat up). But upon examining the second box, we realized that this is just the arm to hang a tire, swing or whatever you want on it. You'll need to buy the actual swing to make this usable. Our fault for not reading the whole description (picture is kind of misleading, showing a swing), but be aware that you'll need to get more stuff if you want to use this...
