I do like this, it has a nice strong tension, feels quite durable and can provide a decent work out. I have tried a half dozen different exercises with it and the tension seems to maintain the same amount just as if it were the first day. It’s of decent size and is not very heavy. You can remove one handle by unscrewing it, but it only reduces length 4-5 inches, so account for that if your traveling. I believe I ordered the 99 pound tension bar. I am 5’9 under 150#, the 99# resistance is just right for me without being too much or too little to bend and flex. With free weights, which I don’t mind using, I use a 20# weight, but my back is pretty bad and the standing makes it very uncomfortable for me. I just recently started working out. With this, I can sit half the time. The back is the primary reason I bought this, I have some serious issues and looking at another surgery. I do both slow and quick curls and vary the speed to change the level of workout, depending on which movement or specific exercise I am doing. Each change in the speed adds to the workout and the fact it always maintains tension means you can fatigue the muscle in no time. If you’re looking to work out or lift weights and want something versatile that will work arms and chest, while standing or sitting, then I recommend this. The one drawback I have, it smells like oil or some lubricant. The scent has dissipated a good bit and I’m sure after a couple more weeks it will totally be gone.

This is a very good tool to exercise arms shoulders and chest. Compact and easy to assemble. Good resistance to bending and not too heavy. Construction a bit flimsy compared to similar models I've used, but good value.

Feels great to use and seems well-made. I feel the burn right in my chest. I like the resistance of the 110 lb. I can rep it over 20 times if I really want to crank it, but to do it nice and controlled 15 reps is more appropriate. For reference, I benched about 300 at my best years ago and I don’t really weight train anymore.

This workout bar, albeit a bit shorter than my old one, would get at least a 4 star rating, but because it stinks so badly that I have to thoroughly wash my hands anytime I touch it, it's not bearable for me to have. Cannot leave it next to anything like furniture as the smell will transfer. Chemical sensitivities because of this flex bar cause me to throw it out. Not able to send it back, because I tried using essential oils on the metal handles, which then caused them to be sticky. Essential oils do not cause metal to become sticky. Being from China should have been a clue, but I missed my old flex bar I had 45 years ago, so picked up the first one I found with a decent price. The first one I had long ago was a great product. Longer, and helped my workouts. This one, in my opinion, is not worth having. So now I am back to buying something I have more reason to have faith in.

UPDATE: 9/25/2025 - it still smells so bad, the smell is hard to remove even after washing twice with a lot of soap and water, I’m start wrapping it in saran wrap when I use it. Smells bad, got the 77 lb just because it was the cheapest and wasn’t sure how accurate the strengths were. I can bend it a little and on one side,but I can’t bend it into u-shape at all like advertised. For reference, I barely work out and cannot do 1 push up or pull up. Mostly bothered by the strong chemical smell, seems heavy duty otherwise. Easy to together and heavy.
