With a little creativity I was able to make use of this bolt-on hitch receiver on a standard riding mower (not a zero turn). I had to fabricate a backing plate and reinforcing straps to add strength to the area on the rear of my small 100-series John Deere rider. It works fine for moving my small utility trailer in and around my property while still allowing the use of my leaf collection system and small utility cart. I made use of a 1-1/4" hitch bar with a 4" rise to raise up the ball to a point where my utility trailer was raised up off the ground for sufficient clearance. The product is strong and well fabricated, with a decent powder coat finish. I give it my seal of approval and a 5 star rating.

Beautiful little hitch receiver - "little," is the operable word there. This is a mini - when it get older it might get bigger - but for now that ball hitch from your pick-up isn't going to fit in this receiver. It is fabricated for a 1 1/4" square tube; the opening is 1.335 - so less than a tenth inch of play in there. The receptacle wall specs @ .152 inches - so the steel was probably around 1/8 inch + powder coat. That is just the receptacle @ 1/8 " The rest of it specs to about .24 - so, just under a quarter inch. This is a nice little hitch receiver - when I saw it I couldn't order it quick enough. I'm turning a Ford Think I got for a little more than a nickle and a half into a pickup truck. This little hitch receiver is perfect - I like it. 5 stars ~ Thanks for Reading – Have an Incredible Life! ~

I am installing this on my John Deere X580 tractor so I will have the option of using a tow ball or a traditional attachment for accessories with my tractor. The quality of this product is excellent. It is powder coated, and appears ready to protect against the ravages of being outside (rust), and the thickness of the steel is greater than I would have expected for the price of the product. The 7,000 pound towing capacity is way more than anyone should ever try to pull with the tractor I have, so I know I have more than what I need to do the job correctly and safely. The M10 size bolts is plenty big for this application, and I always appreciate it when a manufacturer uses nylon locking nuts vs. locking washers. Much more secure in my opinion. This is a really nice tow hitch for a decent price.

Not using this on a John Deer, but with some creativity it bolts to other models just fine. Really well made and nice that it has the pin type for yard carts as well as normal hitch type attachment for small trailers, options. Obviously this isn't made for highway towing or anything but if you have a yard tractor or similar without a hitch and a secure means of attaching this, it's a great option for adding a hitch.

this Trailer hitch receiver is heavy duty even for a 1-1/4" receiver application. I have towed several large loads including over 1 ton of cobblestone without hesitation! It has holes for chains and a nice powder coat finish to prevent rust over time. I'm certain that this hitch is going to last several years if not decades of wear and tear. Certainly give it a high recommendation!
