    • Good Hitch- No Comparison
UPDATE: Do not lose the hookup tool! Arrived late at campground and left tool on bumper. When we left the next morning it fell off someplace... Trying to find a place to order a replacement is almost impossible! (the mistake was mine but it shouldn't be so hard to order a new hookup tool!) This is a quality hitch... I purchased the 1,200lb model. I must preface my review with, it is the only WD hitch I have ever owned so I am unable to compare to others. The setup is straight forward; set the height, start with moderate weight distribution, measure the changes in your truck, and adjust as needed. I am slow and methodical with set ups that involve safety and I was able to complete in under an hour. With experience, or someone who just moves faster than me, I bet you could complete setup in 30 minutes. Adjustments are made by turning a simple thumb screw while the hitch is not under load. The only tool that most people do not have on hand is a torque wrench- I was able to borrow one but check around with friends. I suppose you don't "need" it to tighten the bolts, but like I said before- I am over cautious when it is a safety item. After the initial setup- hooking up is a breeze, under two minutes and most of that was me hand cranking the jack. Turning the sway control on and off is super easy and I have had many "jealous" type comments from others about the automatic deactivating and overall strength of the sway control. However, I have only towed locally to date and have not turned on the sway control while under load- no need on winding back roads. *The one note I would mention that I actually over looked on the hitch and is not mentioned in the manual- there is a on/off switch for the sway control on BOTH sides of the unit. They each control the resistance on their respective side, so both need to be engaged/ disengaged independently. ... show more

Love having the bars on top! Easier to set up, cleaner, more ground clearance. But the best thing is the way the r6 disengages itself when maneuvering at angles! Anti sway control is better than most. I paired mine with a shocker hitch making for a very safe, very smooth, very quiet sweet setup. Worth every penny! ... show more

    • Sway control
This system makes a huge difference in towing. It limits the “squat” on the truck and definitely helps with the sway. I tow a 31’ foot travel trailer with my Chevy Silverado 1500. I wouldn’t do it without this system.

    • Too much slack in sway control for my large trailer made it dangerous for me.
I was onboard with the spring-ball type of sway control until I tried it. While the bars are somewhat "locked in", there is definitely still some play between the tongue and the sway bars until they provide sway control. It didn't seem like much until I got it on the highway. The amount of sway it allowed was downright dangerous for my trailer (9200# travel trailer) at times. It was so bad, I stopped half-way through my first trip to stop at an rv dealer to buy an Equalizer and install it right in their parking lot before going any further. It was a huge improvement in sway control and less "bounce" as well. ... show more

Easy to use, easy to hook up, perfect. Even my wife, who doesn’t usually do the hitch, can hook it up. Much better than the previous hitch I had. Can back up without having to get out and take the anti-sway bar off and then get out and put it back on when you pull forward as with the other one. Love it. ... show more
