The media could not be loaded. I got this trail camera because I thought deer might be drinking from my birdbath, in the back yard of my home right in town. The attached nighttime video comes from the second night the camera was set up - success! I also was interested in seeing the variety of species of birds that visited the birdbath. The instructions were concise and straightforward, and setup was incredibly simple. This is a far cry, technology-wise, from the camera I purchased about 5 years ago (and left at my previous house). What really surprised me was the quality of the videos. The nighttime videos are about what I expected, with a little more resolution, but the daytime videos are so crisp and color-saturated! I'm also really happy with the small screen inside the unit and the arrangement of the controls. I wouldn't have minded being able to access the videos with my phone and/or having a live stream, but it wasn't a necessary feature. I particularly didn't want to pay for a subscription to a cloud service! Apparently there is a way to connect to this unit with your phone, but I haven't investigated that because retrieving the videos off the SD card is so easy. If you need a basic cam that doesn't connect to the cloud, you can't go wrong with this unit, especially for the price! ... show more

This camera has been fun and impressive. The 4K 48MP resolution delivers crystal-clear images and videos. The night vision is exceptional capturing all nocturnal activities with amazing clarity. What impressed me the most is the 0.1s trigger speed. The wide-angle lens covers a broad area of my backyard, so I have comprehensive surveillance without blind spots.     • Great Price, Easy to Set Up and Use
I already had 2 trail cams on the property and added this one and by far this one is much better than the other 2. What caught my attention to it was the price, it didn't expect much as it was 2/3 cheaper than the other 2, but when I set it up I put in video mode and when i checked, the video was amazing (like watching a real movie) when I reset it for still pics, they were even better both day and night pics were very clear, the menu and set up buttons are very easy to use and the bright display make it go much faster as not ha ring to read the small print on the plastic by the switches and buttons like on my other 2. The Motion detection has a much further reach than either of my other ones , my only con is, the strap they include uses a pressure buckle and you have to always have to completely undo it to remove it, I prefer clips that you adjust once and wrap it around the tree and clip together ... show more

The trail camera offers excellent performance for capturing wildlife activity, especially during the morning hours. The image quality in daylight is sharp, and it reliably detects movement. However, if you live in an area prone to foggy conditions such as coastal regions, you may notice that the camera struggles to capture clear images. The camera works best when visibility is optimal, so fog, misty and marine layers can impact its performance. One downside is the battery life. The camera tends to drain batteries quite quickly, especially if there's a lot of activity detected. Since it requires eight batteries, it’s worth considering purchasing rechargeable batteries, such as those available on Amazon, to help reduce costs and improve convenience. Overall, it's a good option for general use, though the battery consumption is something to keep in mind ... show more

Ordered one camera and liked it so much ordered a second. We live in mountains with no internet service so love it doesn’t require wifi. The wildlife doesn’t notice it. Has held up great in weather we are in VA so humid in summer and we also had several days or solid steady rain. So easy my 12 year old son or my 70 year old father can do it on their own. Takes good quality pictures and stores a lot of pictures my son said we have around 400 pics on it now. Can see pictures right on it which is great doesn’t require smart phone to view.     • Great camera all way around
This is my first camera I purchased for upcoming deer hunting and I really did not know what to look for when selecting it over Amazon. When I got it two weeks ago it was well packed, instructions were on small paper but readable. The menu is simple and straight forward, no rocket science! I took it to a woods last week and it perform very well, I saw deers, racoon, and coyote coming to a feeder. Night shots are readable within 15 yards, day shots are good up to 25-30 yards. The batteries that were included with camera lasted a week, when I got back to camera to play back videos and pics the batteries have only one bar left. So, I would suggest to have one set of 4 AA batteries with you just in case you need to replace it. ... show more

Great product, has multiple modes, a viewing screen to review footage & photos...But it does eat batteries if you use it to take pictures in every mode.
