Note - these don't have three different settings! I just looked at the pics for the lamp and assumed the different lighting effects were three different settings, when the pics were just showing different bulbs. These only have one light setting and no dimmer 3-way settings. My bad, so can't hold that against them. I got the brown, and it is pretty dark to where if you hold it up to black, only then can you really tell it's brown. That's kind of a gamble when ordering on line. The brown is brown, but really really dark and almost black. If it weren't for it being so dark, I would have easily given this five stars. If you are good with a really dark, almost black brown, consider this a five-star review. When it comes to the quality, heaviness, light, and over all appearance, they are great and definitely worth it. Even though they are a lot darker than what I thought with the brown, they still look great and blend in nicely. I was worried they would be and look cheap due to the price, but they aren't. Easy to put together and with some of the review pics of the shades looking a bit off, I was worried, but you just need to make sure you put them together all the way - they look great and give a nice luminous and warm light. They are heavy and sturdy and the design is just enough to give them some character, while at the same time not being bulky. Highly recommend them and glad I picked these out! ... show more

I was so pleased with this lamp. It is small. I have a small room where I watch TV, it's the perfect light for watching. The lamp is well made & attractive. Good value. I plan on buying another one.

The lamps came very well packaged. Until I opened the package, I thought I had misread the description and was only getting 1 lamp. The lamps went together without tools. All aluminum parts with threads. You might want to put a drop of oil on each thread, just to be sure there's no cross threading. It took about 15 minutes to unpackage and construct the 3 lamps. Note that the floor lamp has a heavy base to it's not tipsy. The shades were a bit more difficult. To construct, you have to stretch the material across two circular brackets. Getting it over the first is no problem, but then stretching it across the second is tough. The shades look great when you do get it. The lamps look a lot more expensive than what they cost. ... show more
