Compared to the other clipper they do not cut as well as them. I can make very crisp lines with the other product. As for an alternative and for backups I would recommend this buying the tpob trimmers.

They have three different color ways, and the charging base is only 19$ as to where other brands the base is 40$. This company is the best quality for a fraction of the price. Great packaging and color options also.

While I was really excited about adding these to my arsenal I'm very disappointed . These are now my second pair of tpods. I first purchased the all green pair that I recently sent back due to a power switch issue. I ended up purchasing these because they are out of stock of the others which I really liked. I thought I would give these a shot. I took them out of the box and proceeded to zero gap them as I do all of my clippers. I noticed once I adjusted them and screwed them back down, I still had movement when I would push on the blade as if it wasn't tight enough on one side. The housing that moves the stationary blade up and down has some sort of defect to it. If i used these on someone with this issue it would most definitely be a choppy blend. When I close the blade it is suppose to slide down and be even on both sides. Instead, one side is down and the other side is raised. I am able to push it down with my finger. Although tpod gets a thumbs up for the design, power and originality they are cheaply made in my opinion. Unfortunately these are going back and I think I'm done with tpod. ... show more

It was wrapped and packaged nicely however, after unboxing it she found that the clutch bag was not in there as advertised. I called Amazon to see about getting it sent to her but unfortunately was told that the item had to be sent back and refunded and for me to purchase another one. This is a inconvenience and I'm quite upset because it was a gift she was looking forward to.

I’ve been cutting hair for 29 years and these are the best clippers I’ve ever used!. The knob that adjusts the blade has 4 settings instead of the usual 2, making fading a breeze. My fades are better and more efficient because I don’t have to change the guards as much!. A definite must for anyone cutting men or boy’s. Love my tpob trimmers as well! ... show more

There were a couple of things I disliked about this clipper. First, the blade gets SUPER HOT while cutting. I have to constantly spray the blade to keep it cool. Second, I had to replace the cutting blade to a ceramic blade. However, it wasn't an easy task. Let me explain, I had to become an engineer and pull out carving tools lol. The blade guide will not fit your traditional replacement cutting blades, trust me. I had to trim some plastic off of the guide. Enough of this. Now on to the things I really like. POWERFUL motor. The lever, it stays in place, I love that. Its like the Babyliss Lo-Pro (WACK AF) clipper. It also has a good battery life. Oh and prepare yourself to purchase the charging dock. I thought that was a lame move on TBOP. Come one guys really. ... show more

Was debating between these and the wahl seniors cordless. But I’m glad I went with the troll clippers. Definitely cuts through bulk, it’s also very quiet. Overall it’s a very strong clipper.
