I had to file down the end of the "cartridge" so I could rotate the cylinders of my guns. After that it worked just fine. But, you shouldn't have to fix it to make it work. What the hell is with these companies nowadays? Don't they try their products out in various makes? It's mystifying.

    • Simple And Easy
This TPO .45 COLT Red Laser Boresighter could not be easier to employ to find zero for your firearm. Simply install the batteries, turn the laser on (while pointed in a safe direction away from your eyes), insert it into the breach and point. The red laser projects out of the barrel and you can use that point to align your optics or fixed position sights. The borsighter helps align the bore to the optic or sights and it only takes a few minutes and you can be ringing steel at the range. Works great, easy to use, will last for years and entire operation, from set up to completion is just a few minutes per use.     • Helps align your sights to your barrel
This bore sight fits perfectly in my 1911. There’s no on/off button. You just load the included batteries into the compartment and the laser comes on. Screw it shut and load it into the chamber. You can then use a sight pusher to ensure your sights are properly aligned. When you’re done with the laser, remove the batteries to turn it off. ... show more

    • Rim is too thick for my revolver
Rim is too thick for my S&W no 3 american. You can't close the revolver. The rim measures 0.065". The rim thickness on the colt cartridge should be 0.060". It barely fits my Blackhawk and drags when you rotate the cylinder. It does fit my Pedersoli baby rolling block rifle.It might be possible to file the base of the aluminum housing and get it down to 0.060". It is a shame they did not consult the specification sheet for the 45 Colt. ... show more

    • Must-have tool for speedy sight adjustments.
I’m a fan of laser boresighters as they save me time at the range - I’d rather be shooting than adjusting sights. Once chambered, this will not move around, so there is no error from free play involved. With handgun secured in a bench rest, I chambered this 4 times, each time rolling the laser sight 90 degrees. Laser still shined of the exact target spot each time. I can’t speak to battery life yet, but in terms of brightness, inside my workshop this had no trouble hitting a target I hung up 75' away. ... show more

I like the price of entry and that it works(see images)! Fits smoothly in my bore and ejects just as well. I subtracted a star because I had to scratch a little of the red paint from the threads on the cap to get a beam without any flickering. But for the low cost it's totally worth 4 stars from me.
