I already have a Deco M9plus mesh Wi-Fi device, 2 of them. I decided to add another to get better coverage, adding it was super easy, just needed to run another ethernet cable because I'm using ethernet backhaul for a more stable solution. As soon as I connected it to the network, it updated the latest version of its firmware. Just a small note, I bought the renewed version for a little less than the new, when it arrived, I couldn't install it because it didn't have the power supply. The only option in the Amazon app was to return it, not replacing it. So I called Amazon support and the first person told me that Amazon renewed products don't come with accessories, but I told him that a power supply is not an accessory. He said he was sorry but could not do anything for me and I could return it if I wanted to. I asked to transfer me to someone else, he did and I explained to the next customer support person that I didn't receive the power supply and she said she would send me replacement right away. I got the replacement the next day and setup my new (refurbished) Deco M9plus. ... show more

I have two sets of three M9 Plus, but was only using 1 of the 2.8 pucks to supplement to original set of 3 v1.81 pucks. Everything was working fine until TP-LINK updated the Android app last month, after which the v2.8 puck would no longer integrate with the v1.81 pucks. Just wouldn't accept any clients. I went around the block many times with TP-Link over this (many hours, no results.) I asked them to sell me a single 1.81 puck to go with my original 3, and they were not able or willing to do that. So I won't be using TP-Link when I replace this set. This item was supposed to be a v1.81 puck which I could use with my original 3. It wasn't. It arrived in a broken box with all of the contents in disarray...AND it was a v2.8 puck, which no longer will work with the v1.81 due to TP-Link breaking the ability in their app update. Had a bunch of Deco M5 set up in my house. Decided I wanted one more & got the M9 to take over as the main hub. So easy to set up & no issues. Now I have WiFi in every corner! Wish all my devices were this easy to set up

The hub is in a great condition (as good as new), however it did not work as it is supposed to. When I reached out to Amazon customer service, they couldn't figure what the problem was. They sent me a replacement. But the replacement also had the same issue. I wanted to give a shot by reaching out to TP-Link customer service and they suggested me to update the firmware and software. When trying to get solid coverage for a large area, this has been perfect! I added on to boost coverage for a spot blocked from the closest node by multiple walls. Went with this solution after getting a quote for wiring a mesh solution came in over $5k… got equal results with this tri band system (7 nodes) for around 10% off that cost! ... show more

I purchased this refurbished TP-Link Deco M9 plus to expand my Deco mesh network. Adding the unit was very easy and my Wi-Fi area has been successfully expanded. The "Refurbished" unit came with a true Deco power supply, short ethernet cable, a simply useless quick installation guide and a card providing support information through the refurbishing distributor.
