This TP-Link Omada point-to-point bridge is a very solid device. The setup process is quick and straightforward, and it can be configured in just a few minutes using a smartphone or through the IP interface on a computer. The interface is simple, and the overall installation is not difficult. One important step is to reset the unit to factory settings and create your own password, since some units may come with a default login. After proper setup, the connection is stable and reliable. The setup for these units is a little more difficult and takes some tech knowledge. The included instructions are pretty good and as long as they are being connected to a traditional network that has a DHCP server, setup should be pretty easy using the smartphone app. I setup one first (the master) then proceeded to configure the slave unit. Once both were setup, they automatically connected to each other and they have worked perfectly since install, which was roughly 3 months ago. My setup is pretty close range, about 200 feet, and they are roughly aimed at each other but they have full signal. Access to everything on the remote side is quick. I have two cameras and an access point in my garage which these provide the backhaul for. One side of the unit has indicator lights which provides status at a quick glance. The Omada app provides detailed information about signal strength between the units and number of clients. I plan on adding another client to another building next year and abandoning the buried CAT5 I have running to it. I've only been able to test throughput to 130 Mbps, but that is due to the fact I only have a wireless connection to the access point and my cameras top out at 100 Mbps. The whole system just bricks it self. It connects and then disappears from the network you cannot connect this device to the app and configure it. Waste of money

I'm using for from my house to the barn and a distance of 400'. Too far for WiFi. App was hard to use but basically point them at each other and it works. Running 5 cameras and speed has not been an issue.

Do not buy these because they lie about the speeds and they disconnect manually and they won’t reconnect they are a piece of junk. They work good for small distances but not long distances.
