  • Perfection
I bought a pair of these to place in two locations in my home. I have a 5G cellular router with WiFi 6. I set up one of the extenders in a home office to both boost the WiFi, and also to provide Ethernet access. The other is placed in our home theater area, which is at the location in the house most distant from the router. Again I wanted to boost WiFi and also to be able to have wired connections to some of the home theater components. In each instance, I simply gave the signal coming from the extenders the same names and passwords as the main signal from the router. Setup using TP Link's "Tether" app on my smartphone could not be easier, and it is nice to be able to detect strength and tweak settings if needed using the phone on an ongoing basis. Speed and strength throughout the house is now superb, and it all works seamlessly with the unified network names, like a mesh network. I love both the supercharged WiFi and the rock solid wired connections I am getting. So simple to set up, I cannot understand why any of the other reviewers needed technical support or why anyone had disappointing results. The TP-Link AX-3000 rocks! HIGHLY recommended. ... show more

  • Works great and simple to install
I purchased this wifi extender to see if I could get a strong and reliable signal to my RV while staying at a friend's house. I chose this one based on positive reviews and expected performance. I was blown away at the simplicity of setup and the rock solid performance. We went from a weak intermittent signal in the closest corner of the RV to a strong reliable signal throughout the RV. Streaming our favorite shows and using the laptop is now a pleasure. I highly recommend this product. ... show more

  • It is a good extender
One of my challenges in having Wi-Fi in our home is that the Wi-Fi coverage is not full for all of the rooms. I decided to look into getting a range extender and there were many to choose from. I decided to give this wanna try as many people had said it was pretty good. The signal strength is outstanding. One of the reasons I didn't give it full stars is it is a bit of a challenge to set up and that is coming from someone with an extensive IT background. It took me a couple of tries before it finally decided to cooperate but when it did, it works great. ... show more

  • Works great
I had ordered a less expensive extender and it was not at all good. I could not connect with my outdoor cameras and had to be in line-of-sight to connect to my router/modem. I returned it and did more research. This TP-Link model was highly rated, so ordered it. It works great and easily connected to my outdoor cameras. Set up was not difficult. The cost was double the Chinese model, but very well worth it. ... show more

  • Added a second extender to network successfully
The first extender worked great within the house but didn't provide coverage outside the house to another connected building - possibly due to the insulation. Bought a 2nd extender and connected it the same way as the first to the same network. It is providing excellent coverage to the connected building - downstairs and upstairs. The first extender created its own network; the second did as well so I have a dedicated network to select from in the office. Easy to install, affordable, and it works! ... show more

  • This device works well.
It was easy to install, get running, and connect to the WIFI. Devices connect quickly and stay connected without dropping the signal. This was a big problem for me in the past, but it is now resolved.

  • TP-Link is a solid name you can trust! Buy it!
Well, a little over a year ago I bought a cheap Chinese one which actually worked for just about a year and then it completely died. The brand had disappeared not too surprisingly, so I bought another cheap Chinese one that had 4.9 stars. Unfortunately, i didn't read the reviews and later realized that some of them were actually for dog collars and other things in some sort of weird review, bait and switch. Well the thing didn't work so I returned it and looked around and tried several other products that were about the same price. They look real fancy, but if you read the reviews carefully a lot of them, the reviews aren't for the product listed there for some other product that has absolutely nothing to do with a Wi-Fi extender. The reviews are real enough, or were, but the sellers must switch products and keep the descriptions the same. I don't know how they do it but they are fooling Amazon. This product, the TP link is expensive. It cost over $100. It's big. It's heavy. It's like that line in Jurassic Park, "If it's heavy it's expensive" but it works! Set up took 2 minutes with the tether app and was completely easy. I didn't have to use anything else. I needed to change the name of the connection point and I thought that might be difficult because it had to be the same as the previous one, so that I didn't have to reset all the devices. But that was super easy. It was a dream. It works great right out of the box. I wish everything would set up and work that quickly. So bottom line, I love TP link. I would certainly buy another one of these and it comes with a 2-year warranty so presumably it's not going to die in a year and if it does it's under warranty and the company isn't going to have vanished. Yeah you can get a chaper no-name one for about 40 bucks and I'll bet you it either won't set up or it won't work very well and if it works it'll die soon. ... show more

  • Works as expected
This works well in a large two story house. Fairly simple setup. I found that moving the antennas around really helped. I now have decent range and get WiFi in the backyard too.
