The deal maker for this fireplace vs. others was being able to control and monitor via my smart phone. With this Wi-Fi enabled fireplace, I can always check to see if it is on. Easy to monitor and control remotely via iOS App or Alexa, or in person with front panel controls or IR remote control. I can also set a timer or schedule in the APP so that I know it will turn off. (My previous electric fireplace did not have this Wi-Fi connectivity,... a family member left it ON while we were out of town for several days,... the power cord got so hot it was soft and rubbery. Scary!) It puts out good heat. Heats up our small basement room in place of the wood burning fireplace. Thermostat setting or Heat Level setting is a nice option to have. Flames look realistic enough with lots of color combination options. My only negative is with the Amazon item photos. Some photos show it installed with a trim kit. The trim kit is not mentioned in the description and not offered on Amazon. It looks a lot better with the trim kit and it would be good to know if/how/where to get one. ... show more

I can stare at this all day. Self contained unit that installs in minutes once the area has been prepped. Looks very nice. It does not perfectly replicate the look of fire, but the "flame" looks quality, but more importantly, we get the point and it works. Being able to adjust the color and the speed of the flame effect is also nice. The sound of the burning embers is realistic and add the finishing touch on an already mesmerizing experience that can very quickly be setup in any room. As a heat source, it function well. This thing is top notch. The heat output is amazing. Any cooler morning, I want a bit of heat I put this bad boy on, and it takes away the coolness without having to turn of the furnace. I love the media design of rocks versus logs or both. The wifi capability is so nice since I lose remotes frequently. It was so easy to install and setup. It was also accurately described for the size depicted. Matched just perfectly. Love all the options this has from colors of the flames and embers to a timer for auto shut off. Very well made and greatly designed. I will also add that no matter how often I use this our heat bill does not reflect a noticeable amount of difference. THats also an added plus. ... show more

It looks fantastic first off. Very well done, easy to get running. Needed some assembly on the part of placement, had to build a bit of a stand to house it. Once installed it works great and makes the room cozy. It's a very minor project for a DIYer, but if you've never used a hammer it may be a bit much to take on. Power is another consideration, don't wire it into anything that takes a lot of power, in my case I had a dedicated 15amp line ran to this alone. Overkill, but made me feel better. ... show more
