Fireplace is great, the no heater feature means I didnt have to run a dedicated 20amp circuit for the fireplace. The item itself may have been a return, the plastic background(where the "fire" is) and the fake wood were both scratched and beat up. The original unit had a problem with the rod that creates the flame effect, but the customer support was very accomodating and did everything you would expect to make things right. The flame is very realistic.
