This is an awesome firepit!! We haven't used it for cooking yet (except for marshmallows), but I'll update the review once we try it. It was very easy to follow the instructions step-by-step to put together. All the parts fit beautifully. It's very sturdy and with the screen lining the inside, we've had no coals or burning wood popping out the sides. We did by a circular mat to put under it, just in case, since we are using this on our TREK deck. It's large enough for at least six people to sit around it (or more). And honestly I think this is the best firepit we've ever had. It looks awesome, as well! We did also buy a cover for it and we're very happy with the entire purchases. Perfect size for a 10' x 10' patio. Relatively easy to build- probably better with 2 people. Solid construction- anxious to see how this holds up longer term (needs cover for winter). Like the top cover that makes it into a mini "table" and holds a decent sized amount of firewood that can heat to about 2-3 feet from pit edge. Recommended and great price ... show more

Great product. I have used the fire pit about 15 times in less 3 months. Works and looks great. And in the summer, I will use it as a center table and place a plant on top of it.

This is a good bang for your buck. Assembly wasn't too bad, took about 20 minutes with a drill. Compared to similar ones at department stores, this is definitely a cheap option. I'll let you know how it holds up. The only flaw is that you can't have the grilling attachments on at the same time as the lid. A simple slit cut into the lid would allow for simultaneous use of the attachments and lid so you'd never have to take anything off. Otherwise pretty darn good. ... show more

This is a great stater fire pit and is especially good for small spaces. It is very sturdy. It shipped quickly and arrived in great condition. The lid that closes over the top is a great feature. The two grilling racks are a real plus, very easy to assemble and make the unit quite versatile. We bought this as a house warming gift for our son's new house and it goes well on the back patio.     • Great fire pit, terrible cooking grate.

I bought this fire pit so I could have a safe fire on my patio which it functions as needed and is aesthetically pleasing. However, the grate that is advertised with it is barely functional and comes with a warning not to cook food directly on it. On top of that the first time I used it caught fire in some spots leading me to believe it had paint or some other material on it and also noticably warped from that single use. It still works as a great fire pit but I had to buy a separate grate to safely cook over it. ... show more
