This cooler will pay for itself pretty fast as far as saving money on ice. My old cooler was very small and could hardly hold anything. This cooler is a little bit too big for me. I wish Amazon had the step down from this but they didn't so I ended up buying this one. I was going through a bag of ice a day in the old cooler. Constantly throwing food away that would fall into the melted ice water. Now I buy two bigger bags of ice at a time but they last about 4 to 7 days. I'm guessing when the weather is colder they will last 7 days plus. On very hot days it might last 3-4 days. I drain the water every morning. When I first bought it I was testing it and it wasn't getting super hot but had kind of hot days cooler was in the van and it usually lasted about 4 days. Which is a lot nicer than having to replace my ice every single day regardless. It costs a lot of money but it's a good investment and will pay for itself pretty fast if you use a cooler all the time. ... show more

We purchased this cooler for a cross country road trip. We put one, 16 lb bag of ice inside. After nine days of opening the cooler once or twice a day, we still had most of the ice and it was crazy cold. This is the 60 qt wheeled model. Worth the money. We gave to cooler a 2nd chance and I am so glad we did. We have been on this trip 4 days and we still have a cooler full of ice. Only reason I didn't give 5 stars, the foot pad fell off I wanted to love this cooler. I purchased it for Father's day for a 7 day camping trip we had planned. The high was 72 and the low was 42 and we had to add ice (10 lbs) every single day. The cooler was kept in the shade and the drinks were pre chilled when added to the cooler. It is the highest quality cooler I've ever owned but keeping ice for10 days? More like 4. Lowest temp was 38F, and it hovered around 42-43F. Nice looking, great seal, lots of room, but unless you place a solid ice block in it and never open it, it won't do 10 days.

So I bought this Blue 60qt charcoal grey ice chest with wheels in April of 2020 . Don't have any problems with it whatsoever .It's been in and out of the bed of my truck tons of times and no hardware problems at all . If you put a block of ice in with your regular ice ,you can retain ice in 90+ degree weather .We put a tinfoil like insulation blanket draped over it when we know it will be exposed to sunlight during our camping trips ,this and tge addred block of ice make the ice last for at least 7 days .
