    • Solved the egg-eating bad habit!
I have 5 backyard chickens, and a couple of them decided to start eating the eggs they laid. I tried everything: different food, more calcium and threats, wood eggs, ceramic eggs. The fake eggs worked for a while, but a couple months later they started this bad habit again. I installed these inside of their coop, and now I hear less angry cackling when one of them is nesting and a new one wants to come in, as they don't see each other in these more enclosed nests, and the eggs have all lived. I installed a fake wooden egg on each nest area with a drill and a screw so it doesn't roll away, to get the chickens to start laying on this new location; it took a couple days but they all got the hint. I haven't removed this fake egg and it's been a month and a half so maybe I can, but it's working great. ... show more

These are pretty expensive to not work. They did not fit in the space I was trying to put them in which is my fault for measuring wrong but my chickens can still get to the eggs and are still eating the eggs. Also the nesting pads that come with them are sharp and pointy. My chickens would not walk on them or lay on them. ... show more

These are great. I lime that the eggs roll away. But you can't have to high of a grass or it won't roll away. My hens love sleeping in them at night. That is the only down side to them.

This product was packaged pretty rough and looks like it had a rough ride three where broken and some where whorped easy assembly but didn’t come in the best condition other then that product is easy to assemble ..only came with 6 green mats but it’s a pack of 10 nests
