I was a little skeptical because of the price, and they seemed like they might be flimsy before putting them together but to my surprise they are nice and sturdy and my hens started using them the same day! I give these a 4.5 for the simple functionality and ease of cleaning. I think the 10 pack ran $17 and change each before tax. Pros: Easy assembly. Easy to hang a few different ways. Super easy to clean. I have one coop that has an idiot rooster that likes to get in the nest box for some reason, and isn't polite enough to use the outdoor loo.. I have the box in this pen hung on powder coated wire, so I backed it on the other side with two 1x6 and screwed to that. This leaves a gap I can spray a hose through, and the droppings liquify and spray right out. Cons: Flimsy where the flaps snap into the base, and jerk rooster (who I let live because he's good with his hens) can get it loose. I plan to try a couple of plastic grommets I can loop an elastic band around to secure the opening end, thus giving him no leverage to unhinge the other end. The included nesting pads seem to be sized for a different model, and slid towards the catch pan end. For now I have them flipped over, and put wide ways to side ways if that makes sense.. I will either zip tie the uphill end or replace the mats with something I cut to fit, but working for now as long as I reposition each time I check for eggs. These are great. I lime that the eggs roll away. But you can't have to high of a grass or it won't roll away. My hens love sleeping in them at night. That is the only down side to them.

My chickens refused to go in then until I put their bedding in, which did defeat the purpose at first. Once I put their bedding in they loved them and switched themselves to these boxes. Then I slowly removed bedding a little at a time. Only complaint would be that the lift door to to get to the eggs aren't securely attached. Had to put some fat, flat rubber bands around that section so they would stay on and the chickens wouldn't be scared to jump on them to get into the box. ... show more

These are pretty expensive to not work. They did not fit in the space I was trying to put them in which is my fault for measuring wrong but my chickens can still get to the eggs and are still eating the eggs. Also the nesting pads that come with them are sharp and pointy. My chickens would not walk on them or lay on them. ... show more

This product was packaged pretty rough and looks like it had a rough ride three where broken and some where whorped easy assembly but didn’t come in the best condition other then that product is easy to assemble ..only came with 6 green mats but it’s a pack of 10 nests
