I owned a 2020 model Toshiba fire tv prior to this. It had been very reliable and overall solid. So i Upgraded from a 55 inch to a 65inch. I am pretty much blown away. I picked this up, transported it carefully, and upright. Upon unboxing this thing was well secured with styrofoam and the screen was protected with some pads and an adhesive screen protector. As for the tv picture quality, superb. Im a gamer and many gamers demand 120hz refresh rates. Despite this tv being 60hz, i saw a noticeable difference in how responsive my controls were to what was seen on the screen. The motion of characters, scenery, and objects practically look like 120hz. Im more than pleased. The tv comes out the box set to "warm" color scheme which gave everything an unnatural yellow tint. Yuck. I had to go into advanced picture settings and fix that. Once fixed, the contrast, colors, brightness and hdr all look tremendous for this pricepoint. I am so happy with this television! I previously had an expensive, high quality 65-inch TV with an exceptional picture but the technology of my old television was dated and it couldn't keep up with today's technology. I was hesitant to replace it with this relatively inexpensive TV because my expectations were high. I am VERY pleased with this television. The picture quality is excellent. It was so easy to set up, connect, and figure out how to get all the streaming services set up. The color is bright and clear. The remote control works as it should and is not complicated to use. The only thing I don't like about the Alexa compatibility is that when I ask for a movie, Alexa directs me to a pay service rather than a free version on an app I've already installed. I understand this is not unique to Alexa but it's annoying enough that I don't use that feature. ... show more

Good buy, especially for the money. I saw some of the complaints, but for me picture and sound are great, if I want a deeper movie sound ill use a sound bar, but setup was quick and easy. The reason for the 4 is there's a slight delayed response time from the remote, mainly when streaming live on youtubetv, I have high speed internet, so the delay seems to be the tv processing. Honestly, its not that big a deal, definitely not a deal breaker. ... show more

It's been 20 years since I bought a new television for the family room! This is beautiful! Crisp colors, and excellent sound! (surprisingly!!) That was the clincher - good sound without adding external speakers or a sound bar. Terrific price for 43". Very light. The 20 year old tv weighs a lot in comparison. Remarkable how technology makes things these days. We don't need over the top tv features - no gaming either. Simple works in that room. Easy to register all the amenities that go with a smart tv! We put a swivel stand on the back, and we are loving it! This television takes a VESA 200 x 300 stand! And the swivel makes it even more enjoyable! Picked it up local! It's perfect! ... show more

The picture is beautiful, the color is vibrant, the sound is actually better than I was expecting even without a sound bar, streaming works fine, setup was super easy, almost automatic. Up and running in a few minutes. It can be controlled somewhat with Alexa which is a bonus. The one negative I knocked off a star for was the remote response is very slow. It could clearly use more system RAM or a better remote system. It works but with a delay. Other than that I'm very happy with this unit especially for the price. It replaced a 55" Sanyo that lasted 17 years of hard daily use of hours on end every day. That TV was $1500 for 1080p. Back in 2009, It weighed a lot more and was thicker. I doubt this will last anywhere that long but it was under $350. And is pretty amazing. I plan to give a longer term update after I've had it for several months to a year... ... show more
