  • 90% great
Deck is fine. Got as a size tester. Swapping my trucks and wheels over, no big deal. Worst, crustiest grip tape ever🙄 all in all, worth it!

  • Good for everyday skatin!
Bought my brother a board/blank and he loves it, he's just starting to learn and a blank for his first board is perfect for practicing some flat ground.

  • It's a $25 skateboard deck... great for art
So I didn't buy this to skate. I'm using it to test different types of metal flake. It needed to be lightly sanded to smooth out some factory runs. Not a biggie. Three medium coats of primer over that and sanded to hide all the micro wood splits. You wouldn't normally see them but gloss paint amplifies them. Createx sealer white, metallic white coarse with hot rod sparkle white for my base. This should be annoyingly bright. The board does great to show how the paint looks on curved surfaces. Should make a badass wall hanger or strap it on the back of the bike all this testing is for. My 275 lb ass ain't gonna stand on it though. ... show more

  • Good entry-level board
It’s been ages since I was on a skateboard, but my son has taken to skateboarding recently and so I figured I better dust off some old skills. As I recall, part of the fun was also assembling your own board and having a unique look. Getting to pick your wheels, trucks, and decals is a big part of it. This board is a good start, the double tail is a must for beginners, and at my son’s age (8), it feels like a long-board to him anyway, so we can probably put some cruiser/longboard wheels on it as well. Plywood is almost unbreakable anyway, so having the 7 layers on this board makes it feel very strong. I’ve given it a few tests myself so I don’t anticipate any issues for a child. It’s a cool board for him to learn and experiment on and not break the bank. I would have given it a 5 star rating except that ours came with scuff marks on the underside of the board. They’re not superficial and the shipping box was not damaged in any way, so it didn’t happen during transit. It just looks like careless handling along the manufacturing process. ... show more

  • Somewhere between a Walmart deck and a good, quality blank deck. Overall not worth it.
- Honestly very much not worth it. - I've skated blanks for 4 years now, and buy them 10 at a time on blankdecks.com - Have had 1 or 2 decks from blankdecks that broke within two sessions, but otherwise no issues. Even the couple that broke quickly felt good while they lasted. - These, fresh out of the box, looked... off. Like, the wood doesn't have a polished finish, which is offputting, but whatever, I was still going to give them a shot. - The board literally FEELS different when popped. Hard to describe but the pop has that clunky feeling that Walmart boards have. It's a little better than a standard Walmart deck, yes, but still a far cry from a quality blank deck or pro model graphic deck. The way this board feels when popped: it's a thud, rather than a snap. - The griptape that comes with it is also... off. It looks visually different than mob/jessup/any real griptape. It's completely black/dark, whereas regular grip is slightly greyer due to the individual grains of grit which give it a shimmer. While this is an aesthetic-based complaint, the grip itself is just noticeably worse than any industry griptape. Again, it's better grip than you'd find on a Walmart board, but is considerably worse than any industry grip. I ride jessup usually, since it's the cheapest industry grip. Jessup is known for being a less-grippy griptape, but it still exceeds the griptape that came with these boards, by a mile. - I got a 5 pack of these decks, as I found the price to be suspiciously cheap (rather than getting 10 boards), and am glad I only got 5 of them. The 1 that I skated broke after ~2 weeks, not due to snapping the nose/tail/middle, but rather due to the plies of the nose splitting completely apart and thus rendering the entire nose of the board useless. - I have not touched the other 4 decks or griptape that came in my order. At least 1 of them (I forgot if it's 1 or 2) has visible splits in the ply where the glue is already coming apart - and that's fresh out of the box, not even skated at all. - Even the 2 or 3 other decks that I have from this order that DON'T have splits in the plies, are not worth skating, in my opinion. I do not plan on skating them, rather I'll just see if I can draw something cool on them and then hang them up. Idk. Either way, I bought a batch of decks from blankdecks.com before I was even done skating the first deck that came in this batch. - Skating these decks just does NOT feel good AT ALL. Either I got a bad batch, or they're just not quality. - I know you get what you pay for, but the decks I get from blankdecks.com cost only 15-20 bucks per board, which is not much more than these decks. Yet, the blankdecks decks feel perfectly fine to me, indiscernible from 9/10 pro/industry/graphic decks. - I would recommend this to someone who currently has a Walmart deck and wants to upgrade, but that is it. Even to those in that scenario, I would sooner recommend blankdecks.com for blank boards, though unfortunately you can only order those in bulk if I recall correctly. - Alot of words here, sorry. But hopefully it helps someone out there who is currently on the fence about ordering these. ... show more

  • Surprisingly nice
I put my own artwork on skate decks. So I buy a ton of blanks. Generally they are all the same...nothing bad about them, but nothing particularly special to write home about. This deck is really nice though...It feels like really good quality maple that someone put care into pressing. 10/10 would recommend. ... show more
