I have one of the neck fans from Torras with the cooling plates and was a big fan of the technology. This personal cooling fan has the same type of solid state peltier cooler integrated and it can serve a unique feature. I have played around with peltier coolers for years and enjoy finding them integrated into useful products. The cooling plate can get very cold in a few seconds as I checked with a thermal camera, 30-40f below ambient which is impressive for its small size. The heat gets rejected to a heatsink hidden in the fans air path. It shows that a lot of though went into the design of the cooling plate and it was not just an gimmick or afterthought. It should be good for quickly cooling hotspot or burns on your skin. It feels good on a hot forehead. I have not had a change to test it yet in the summer heat, but I can tell even at lower speeds it should cool nicely. I mostly use it below 30% fan speed and the airflow for the amount of noise is great. Even the lowest fan speed moves a ton of air. The battery seems to last a good amount of time and can even run just the fan when plugged in. the color is also very nice. It blends in well and isn't overly flashy. The size also makes it easy to fit in a bag or store in my car's center console to keep it with me when I need it. My only suggestions for improvement would be with the charging time and ability to use the cooling plate while charging. This is due to battery protection but would be great if they figure out how to make it work safely. ... show more

With the way summer has been going, I needed a strong hand held fan that could keep me cool. I was pleasantly surprised by the strength of this fan—at lvl 25 it’s already hitting you with a strong gust of wind. It definitely has helped keep me cool during some hot days, so I can’t recommend it enough. Also, it’s nice that I can clip it to my bag and keep going. It’s a nice size, and the design is comfortable. I will say it runs on the louder side, but given how strong the breeze is, I’m okay with it. The cooling plate is fine, and when pressed against the neck, feels amazing. I read that it’s supposed to add an extra layer of “cold” while the fan’s blowing, but in honesty the strength of the hand held is so strong that I don’t really notice too much of a difference. In summary, this is an excellent hand held with a strong fan, and can be clipped to a bag or whichever to be on the go. ... show more

I’ve had this fan for about a year now and it still works great! The air flow is strong and it’s easy to carry around by hand or with the keyring clip at the end. The cooling touch plate works very well in 80+ degree weather. Yes. It cools. Yes. It is a powerful little fan. Yes. It can handy to clip it on to a purse or backpack or beltloop. Yes. It is rechargeable without batteries. And yes, the "middle part" cools down REALLY fast - see below for clarification! The fan could not be used at a play that I recently attended because even at the lower setting it disturbed the person next to me. At a concert or something louder or not so formal, it's a yes. At church, no... unless you have no one around you. No. It does NOT make the air that it's blowing to you as cool as the little plate in the middle is. No. You will not feel "cooler" air as you use it. It blows the same air to you that it sucked into the blades. If you would like to use the cooler middle area, press it up agsinst your skin for instant coolness (about the size of a postage stamp). Do I like the fan? Yes. Is it instantly cooler air being blown once I click the cooling button. No. I purchased this because I thought it would cool down the air being blown my way considerably. I tested it in 90 degree weather and it made no difference in the temp being blown my way... or should I say that I could not tell you there was a difference. I still have a few weeks to decide to keep or return. I am not sure based on the 40.00 plus pricetsg.. if I should keep it. ... show more

Got this as a gift for someone. They love it. Charges fast and lasts a while. The cooling pad it great for specific areas. She loves it during hot flashes. Compact and easy to carry around or in a purse. On t he 25% setting it blows enough air while not being too loud. Higher setting blow a lot more air, but can be noisy. Easy to hold in one hand for a while. Overall it's lightweight. Not to expansive for what it does. Adding cold instead of just ambient air works well. ... show more

I am enjoying the fan due to its compact size and its weight. While I wish the fan blew more air at higher settings, I understand it’s a tiny fan plus upping the RPM would be at the cost of motor noise and likely battery life. It does blow a good concentrated amount of air which is why I need it. As with any fan with this small a fan head, it can be noisy at the higher settings. In extreme outdoor heat, the cooling pad does nothing. That is the only reason this isn’t 5 stars. Indoors, I do feel a slight cooling when I turn it on and hold it to my face. This handheld cooling fan is the closest thing to a portable hand held Air conditioner that actually blows cooler air. It has a cool button that turns on a component inside the fan that actually makes the air that passes through the fan significantly cooler, similar to walking by an open door to a air conditoned place in the summer, or opening a refrigerator door, & standing in front of it, but not as cool as an actual air conditioner for an interior. For the size, weight, & portability its amazing, & it looks like a really high quality. It has a a ring for a lanyard that can be used also as a stand. I have used for a couple hours at a time on the lowest setting, & didn't have to charge it until the 3rd day, so it has a really long life battery with a battery % indicator, & it charges with the standard USB-C. Its a high quality fan that I would recommend for its functionality & value. As far as the fan speed & how it functions, it has 5 speeds. I only use it on the lowest setting as the highest setting does blow a whole lot more air, & could be used in situations like maybe blow drying hair.
