UPDATE: After extensive use of this product I made the following observation: When it is triple digit heat and you get in your vehicle and turn on the Air Conditioner even though your unit will be doing it's best to cool your vehicle...your vehicle will still be warm inside while you are parked in idle. When you finally start driving and get air flowing through the hood of your vehicle as you drive down the road it will finally start to cool properly. This unit in my opinion when you are dealing with extreme heat outside is going to act much like my example with your vehicle above. It is going to struggle to cool you down because you are outside in extreme heat. Your body is essentially in a sauna. Now I can see when you have non triple digit heat and being outside where this may be very handy. It is an air conditioner and not just the basic neck fan. If you are in an environment where there is some cool air to work with then this unit will excel. Cool down after a gym workout or after a run. I do own a basic neck fan. This can be used as a basic neck fan. This is a 5 Star Air Conditioner around your neck that I give two thumbs up! I live in Texas and we have been experiencing triple digit heat index. I have had more than one heat exhaustion incident and I'm always looking for ways to help prevent from having another one. I stumbled across this while shopping on Amazon. I wanted to give it a try. Why this one? I don't need all the gadget stuff on the Ranvoo Alice3. I need something that is going to keep me cool. That is the entire point of me buying this product. I like how it looks...sleek. I purchased the one that the inside of the unit turns blue when cold and orange when using the heat. " ORANGE - BLUE". I like that you can upgrade the firmware and software and it is a very painless and automatic process. I like the fact that with the TORRAS App I can run everything from my iPhone. It has a timer feature, it can heat your neck in the winter, it has cooling pads on the sides and the back of the neck, and you can also run those just on the sides or just on the back of your neck. It blows air on your head and down your back. You can run hot on the sides and cool on the back of your neck or vice versa. It truly is able to run in a very customizable manner from the app for what you personally want. You can name it in the app. You can actually plug it into a portable battery pack and run all day with it cooling all 3 pads around the neck on max blast. The neck pad for me in addition to the sides and the ability to cool / heat / fan mode / the customization/ and being able to run it off a battery pack while wearing it is what sold me on this very product. It is one of the best purchases I have ever made and I use it daily. It is very comfortable to wear. I actually just bought 6 more tonight for family. I think you will be pleasantly surprised if you give it a try. My only cons with this purchase are not having a place to store the charging cable in the case. I'm also not a fan of the bungee handle on the case. I would have liked a very sturdy and tough carrying handle. If you tried clipping the bungee handle to a backpack or bag someone could easily rip it off the case and make off with your COOLIFY 3. As you can see my complaints are strictly with the case and not the actual COOLIFY 3. I hope they can come up with a case that does have room for the charging cable and come up with a better carrying handle. As long as you are in an environment that has some cool air to work with whether it is outside or inside this unit with be a life saver for you if you run hot like myself. Hope this helps.

If summer heat is beating you down and you're willing to spend the cash, then this device is for you! I have very low heat tolerance and live in a very warm climate, so I sweat like livestock and generally hide inside during the summer months. I've always used neck and hand fans, but when things are HOT-hot, all they do is move more hot air against you like a convection oven. This has freed me up a lot, whether it's walking the dog, going to outdoor concerts, or even just doing strenuous indoor chores It's really more than just a powerful fan, and it definitely is a powerful fan! When the cooling feature is engaged, the plates in the neck area become cold to the touch, essentially putting a cooling section on a body area of intense blood flow. I can't speak to the heating power of the device, but if it's as powerful as the cooling then this fan would be ideal for after being out in the snow and ice; blow air to dry yourself out while warming up as well! The battery power is also impressive. Nothing lasts as long as what's advertised, that's true of any product, but even on full blast (cooling and fans, two separate energy draws!) at a full charge the fan can last around one and a half to maybe three quarters of an hour. The noise level is a tad hard to judge since it's closest to your own ears, but it doesn't seem like it would be a disturbance to anyone unless they were sitting in extremely close quarters. The loudest thing it does is the beep for changing modes, but it's good to have confirmation that you did hit a button, as you can't see the battery or operation mode while you're wearing it, haha! The only thing that is even slightly negative is that in order for the cooling and heating plates to work best, this fan needs to 'hug' your neck more tightly than a necklace fan that simply sits around it. Thankfully, the pressure is faint and along the back and sides, so you're free to move around and eat and drink while you use it. It's a minor annoyance, and you'll forget it the first time you walk around in the blazing sunshine fresh as a daisy! Finally, the customer service is also excellent! My first model performed excellently for a month, but for some reason began to hold less and less of a charge, eventually becoming only minutes long. I was out of the 30-day replacement window, but still under the 180-day coverage, so after a short conversation with the seller I was sent a brand-new unit! Definitely a worthy investment to take back the power from a sweaty summer day.
