We purchased this to store in our RV basement area and it fits great. Not too heavy, although not lightweight. It is very sturdy when opened, but opening and closing it requires patience. We've not really figured it out yet and are still fighting it going both up and down. Make sure the top bar is locked in place before you climb on it. I purchased this so I can have an 8ft ladder on jobsites but is able to fit in my small car trunk. It worked great for that! My only concerns are that it is a little wobbly but not terrible, and it can be a bit awkward to retract as you have to release the latch on both sides of it before it will drop. ... show more

I found this product very difficult to use. The process of raising and lowering is very difficult. When I try to move it it continues to extend which makes moving it difficult, this happens when used as an A frame or as an extinction ladder. It seems very sturdy even when its fully extended, but it does flex a little. I would give this product 5 stars, but the ease of use is not as good as expected. ... show more

Perhaps there's a trick to expanding and collapsing this and I'm unaware, but currently, with the knowledge I have, since there were no instruction provided (and as a side note, this was missing some simple assembly hardware), it's kind of obnoxious to use.

This ladder looks like it is a must have. Once received, I found the only reason I didn’t return it is it’s too much trouble. It has clunky adjustment controls that can smash your fingers even if you wear gloves. It’s difficult to know how to get it to open and even more difficult to get it collapsed after use. It is very heavy and awkward to transport, despite the wheels on the foot bar. I only give it 3 stars because I kept it rather than go to the trouble to return it. Even though I like the design and what you can do with it, it needs latches to hold it together. You can't tip it up to move it because it just slides apart instead of picking up. And when partially extended and set on all 4s, don't lean to one side when on it, because it will extend on the lighter side and dump you off. ... show more

Interesting design but not on par with Little Giant type ladders. Was expecting one lighter and more compact for storage. Not unusable, but unnerving when fully extended and near top. The mechanism for opening and closing is more time consuming than that of other style ladders designed for portability. This maybe ok for the occasional holiday decoration or RV backup.
