This is a great tool. I wish I'd had this since I started to do wire stripping for electrical/electronic needs. It works well, and gives a pretty good clean removal of insulation. Only problem so far is with very thin stranded elecronics wiring, used with small batteries. Many of the stranded wire ends up getting stripped away with the insulation, so a little more case is needed. Otherwise, great product! ... show more

This is my second one in 12 years. If you are doing any 12v wiring these are amazing, fast, and last. The only reason why I had to replace them is the screw stripped out that held the top together after it vibrated in my service truck for many seasons. They fixed that with a pin and snap ring on the new models. Love these and will always have a set in my tool bag. ... show more

I was so glad when I learned that Amazon sold this particular type of strippers. I've tried many other strippers, but always found them lackluster. It was as if those strippers didn't have their hearts in the job, you know? There I'd be, on the edge of my seat, moments from completing the task at hand, if you well, and other strippers? Well, they'd just leave me hanging. It was almost as if they lowered the curtains and were waiting for me to do something for them. I never realized I had such high standards for strippers until I came across these bi-colored beauties. In my hand, these strippers positively dance. With one touch, the job gets done, and everyone is satisfied. If you or someone you know is considering renting strippers, I'd suggest you just go all in and buy these strippers. Why pay by the hour for something you could keep in your house? Even better - buy 2! Keep one stripper at home, and the other at work. For only $18 the build quality, adjustability, and performance of these strippers is amazing. Tried 2-3 others (all more expensive) and these crush them all in every aspect. 4 stars for durability because I just got them and tried them out on different gage wire, (solid and braided) but can’t say definitively they’ll last.     • Everybody loves the strippers!!
Durable is the key here. These things last forever and don’t overstrip the wires. Easy to identify in a crowded toolbox by their unique coloration and easy to adjust the bite length. Great product and great company. We buy their crimpers also. Virtually indestructible.

Do you do vehicular wiring? Are you using butt connectors? Get this it'll simplify your life. If you're looking at it it's because you've seen them around the shop and you're wondering if it's worth it. Borrow one for a day then come back and buy this.

These strippers work great on 14 - 22 gauge wire for automotive use . Very easy to use and very accurate. I have used others that look identical but did not work near as good as these . I highly recommend them and especially for the price . I bought a cornwell brand that looks the same and I paid $35 and they didn’t work as good as this one ... show more
