The value of this bike is fantastic. I looked around at local shops and as a newbie to road bikes was sticker shocked to say the least. Face it...if you’re buying a road bike on Amazon your unlikely to be on the podium at the Tour-de-France. Regular people want a good product at a fair price right? Buying something like a road bike sight unseen; honestly made me nervous. So I keep getting information. The professional scoring on this bikes value was what stood out for me. That ranking is dead on. This bike looks great. It’s well made and not priced like a used car. I contacted the MFG to check some information before making a purchase and Chris S was very helpful. Quick response and answered all of my questions. My bike shipped quickly, assembled easily, and every mechanical linkage was set perfect right out of the box. After reading various reviews I was pricing “professional assembly” mostly for tuning. Zero need on my bike. Both wheels were perfectly true. I had no trouble fitting my bike myself. Many have commented on the saddle, pedals and wheels. I ordered a different peddles set and saddle for ascetic/personalization reasons. I have not see any issue with the wheels. The stock tire didn’t fit my road conditions so I replaced those with more friendly Continental. I am in manufacturing so build quality is always something that stands out. Tommaso has great quality control. The frame welds, hardware taps, paint job, graphics, even the handle bar tape are done with top notch quality. I did not see a single flaw on my product. I have never owned a shifter system like this Claris before and is took all of two blocks to figure out how to operate. So well integrated it makes the action natural. I look forward to many enjoyable rides. Five starts all the way. 200+ miles of use and still pleased. 1 year Update. Still happy with this cycle. I’ve put 1000+ miles and not one issue with my bike. My roads are tough on the tires but “what are you gonna do right?” Get some new rubber and peddle on. Leaving KD like Tommaso has a newer entry lever model for 2020. If I had to replace my bike I’d give this brand another hard look. Not really in the BMC buyer group. Happy riding! Two year update: Still very happy with this bike. I’ve added carbon wheels to reduce some weight The mechanics of this bake are still 100% stock and work perfect.the build quality is still impressive. Not a single issue with my bike over three seasons. I’ve wore out two set of Conti’s and going strong. I still have my eyes on a carbon bike down the road but this one will stay in my garage too. Perhaps turn it into a straight bar gravel rider. Just a great bike.

Bought Tommaso Imola based on reviews here and information on the Tommasso website. Initially was very pleased with what I received, very nice looking piece of hardware. Unfortunately bicycle does not work as well as it looks. The problem is the front Derailleur and the mechanism to move it (side travel brake levers). After had assembled the bike and tried to to shift the front derailleur it was virtually impossible and acted like it was frozen. Brought to the bike shop and they did the best they could adjusting it but virtually unusable because of the amount of force it takes to shift as well as the length of travel that the shift arm must go through. Also I've been a Amazon prime customer for many years and have always been very pleased with the ability to cancel a return merchandise for full refunds. Unfortunately I didn't realize this was not the case with Tommaso bicycle and that it is up to to their discretion as to what type of refund they will give me. I also noticed a another recent customer (July 2026) having the same problem as I did. Really wished the bike would've worked out because it is a nice bike except for the front derailleur stiffness. I subtracted three stars for my review because of the mechanical issues and Tommaso's refund policy. After searching the Internet for everything I could find on adjusting Shimano FD-R2030 derailleurs I carefully readjusted derailleur (several attempts) and finally got it to function in an acceptable manner. My observation is that settings are extremely "touchy" in that there is virtually no room for error in adjusting derailleur H and L stops and cable tension. Spent considerable time to minimize cable friction as much as possible. As I said previously it is a nice bike and one suggested does give a decent ride. Have decided to keep bike and upgrading my rating to 4 stars which reflects my concern regarding front derailleur difficulty in adjusting/performance and Tommaso return policy.

I'll just put it this way as a lifetime automotive technician out of the box this bike was very simple to understand very easy to assemble very easy to set up I did take it to a bicycle shop to have it checked over to validate the warranty and the guy at the shop was super impressed with the bike and wanted to start selling them on their store front so that should tell you all you need to know about this bicycle right here it is a quality bicycle don't let the direct consumer you know price tag or the the fact that it's on Amazon for you this is absolutely an entry level road bike that you would find comparable to entry level Canon Trek Fuji I mean you name it in some ways it's even better so the things that you get for the price you can't beat I absolutely recommend the company it arrived with a handwritten note on the receipt on the invoice that says enjoy your new bike thank you with a little :-) and a GM next to it so I'm going to assume it's a general manager it may have been the secretary on an invoice on a product that was manufactured to this day and age and that just simply doesn't happen that speaks to their quality 100%

Honestly I would give it four and half stars if I could. Don't get me wrong, it a great bike just not perfect. This is the first high end bike I ever owned. I've always had Huffy, Schwinn and even Coast King. So there was a lot of getting used to. The negatives would be there's no instructions how to put it together. It comes mostly assembled and is pretty self explanatory but basic instructions would have been nice. Your still left having to figure out how to put the pedals on [they tighten counter clock wise], how to put on the wheel reflectors, and tighten the brakes to name a few things. It does say professional assembly required but if ur fairly handy u can do it yourself. After dropping $500 I didn't feel like spending more. All u need is an allen wrench and a phillips screwdriver. The seat is ridic. Its a super hard rubber. Even with padded bike shorts this thing an instrument of torture. It was replaced immediately. The wheels are ok. Btw, there's no kick stand. Its sold separate The shifting was something completely foreign to me. There aren't instructions how to do this. My first ride I figured it out after a little while. U need to push the brake lever/levers inward. I would say that it is without a doubt the best shifting system I've ever used. Very simple, low profile and accurate. Quite ingenious. Its super light and glides along like a dream. The handlebars are great and allow you to duck down to cut through a strong wind and climbing hills seems easier. The bike trail I ride on is in a wide open rural area so this is great. I noticed my average speed increased with this bike as opposed to my Schwinn. If your hands are on the upper or lower portion of the handlebars its still ez too shift and brake. If ur looking for a high end bike on a budget, then this is for you.

I’ve had my Imola for several months and have completed nearly 700 miles on it. I paid for the bike to be assembled by Amazon. Used to ride MTBs half a lifetime ago and road bikes before that - wanted a reasonable road bike for under $1,000 and this seemed to fit the bill. And I added SPD pedals with the Tomasso shoes, some lights and a bike computer. Things that didn’t go right: Rear derailleur wasn’t adjusted correctly and self shifted and Front derailleur refused to shift onto big sprocket after two rides. Both required adjustment at local cycle shop. Rear wheel - punctured brand new tube. Cycle shop replaced it, flat after one ride, went back to shop. Needed new liner for the rim as puncture in same place and then tire isn’t well seated. Also wheel needed to be trued up after a few rides. Things that went right: It’s a beautifully made bike! 6061 alloy frame although it has a steel front fork (Tomasso claim it’s vibration dampening tech). Shimano Claris compenents all round is welcome touch at this price point. Sure it’s got rim brakes but I like somewhere dry and the Shimano Claris V Brakes are all good. Also the frame geometry for my 5’ 10” frame on M size is good - and easy to swap to the SPD pedals. The seat - lots of folk have bad things to say about the WTB seat. I’ve never owned a gel seat and I don’t feel the need to order one to replace it. I wear padded cycling pants and I don’t feel it’s a big issue. With work and family commitments, I moved inside a few months ago and have been riding indoors on a Saris trainer and ‘Zwifting’ which means I’m on the bike daily (sometimes twice daily). That meant a cadence and speed sensor plus I’m going to update the trainer to a variable resistance ‘smart trainer’ and power meter pedals. Before I can get back on the road, I will look at a wheel and tire upgrade but the trainer upgrades are the next priority. Summary - a good bike. Initial assembly particularly around derailleurs wasn’t ideal. Not super happy about the punctures either. Geometry is great, brakes are fine, seat seems to be issue for others but not an issue for me… if it goes back on road and it becomes regular road training I’ll save up for new wheels and tires but bike is good value for money.

This is my very first road bike. I've only ever owned mountain bikes so I wan't sure if I'd enjoy road biking but took a chance due to the rave reviews on this product. After taking it for a few rides I'm very happy with my purchase. I love that it included free assembly from Amazon, that may have cost at least another $100 if I had to take it somewhere to be assembled. My favorite things about the bike are its looks and design. It's a very modern and stylishly designed bike and that's what drew my eye to it initially. The great reviews and recommendations though are what made me buy. I bought the white version and it's beautiful to look at. Going for a ride I most enjoy that the shifting is responsive and accurate. Here in very hilly Tennessee there are very few flat areas to ride. Frequent shifting is a must, and so far I'm very satisfied with the way it's handling the hilly terrain. The bike feels pretty light to me too. But then I've only rode heavy mountain bikes most my life so I may not be the best judge here. Handling and ride feels pretty good. Some people complain that the saddle is not comfortable enough but I didn't find it to be a standout problem. I also bought some shorts with padding built in so that's good enough to make the ride comfortable. The most important factor of all in evaluating this bike is the fun factor. If the bike isn't fun to be on then what's the point? I can most definitely say that this bike is fun to ride. Overall, I feel like it's a great value for the money and a nice start to entry-level road biking. I highly recommend.

TLDR: Bike broke 2nd ride UNDER 30 days from a MANUFACTURING error, they demanded ALOT from me to even considering fixing or replacing under warranty, refused to warranty/return and voided my warranty after accusing me of breaking my own bike. I wish I had read the 1 star reviews sooner about customer service. Bike almost killed me when the derailleur hanger failed and locked up my rear wheel, threw me into traffic and the rest writes itself… Took it to the same shop who built the bike, and was told it is a manufacturing failure and they see it often with entry level Walmart bikes… this bike was $600… but they didn’t know that… So now the bike is broken, and you’d think… “well it’s under 30 days, surely they’d accept a return or maybe a partial refund…” NOPE. Instead I was silently accused of putting together my OWN bike and it was MY fault that it broke and that the warranty was now null and void… HOW CONVENIENT. How did they get this conclusion? They adamantly asked for the number of the bike shop… I was confused as to why at first but maybe they wanted me to bring it so they can have a confirmation? Seem fair to me… and I had no issue doing this…Well they called.. and instead wanted confirmation that I took this bike was built there? and of course the technician who fixes hundreds of bikes a day, doesn’t know WTF they’re asking about, and can’t remember what they did to a random chinese drop-shipped amazon bike over 25+ days ago… so NOPE WARRANTY CLAIMED DENIED… BUT ALAS, I HAD A RECEIPT. That should be enough right? NOPE. Because the kind local bike shop did not charge me for an installation (which was explained). The bike arrived half put together... I put the front wheel on and barely bolted the handle bars so I could at least roll the bike from my house, to car, to the shop… but the shop didnt care if it was half built, they checked every single corner of the bike as part of their “multi point inspection” and adjusted what needed adjusting… and since it was my first bike and intro to cycling… they discounted me heavily. Welp, Mr. Warranty man says thats grounds for warranty cancellation because they can’t verify that the shop is the one who built the bike since they never itemized it on the receipt… because they didn’t charge me… so it wasn't on the receipt... Arguably… the only fair point they made… but this is such a “but/and if” process that they make it literally impossible. “Why dont you just fix the bike?” It threw me into oncoming traffic… what condition do you think a cheap aluminum bike would be in after that… Just have Amazon refund you… honestly I should’ve escalated the minute they got difficult… at this point I’m beyond fed up with dealing with this back and forth… and trying to be patient and understanding of a business owner… You will most likely get lucky and never run into any issues with the bike, the few rides (literally 2 LOL) that I had were fun and the bike felt sturdy… BUT beware, they advertise 700x25c tires (which is probably a simple mistake)…. Its not lmao… just take it to any bike store and compare a REAL 700x25c tire… my 1 star is for the business owner, and their weird a** warranty team. Pros: The first bike that felt perfect for my height and body composition. Meh: its entry level shimano, its okay… not great. Would be a perfect commuter bike but dont expect comfortable endurance or fast races… its SUPER entry level. Cons: Lack of integrity from the company, bs warranty rules and NOT how you should run a business meant to help noobies get into cycling Suggestion: save up and buy an entry level Sava. Not sponsored… 0 discounts or gifts, just a regular dude making dumb amazon purchases , I paid full price… and They would never do this to a customer… LET ALONE ON AMAZON.
