After our 8 year old Cuisinart became unreliable, we purchased a toaster whose greatest feature was its wide and extra long bread slot. For specialty breads with larger, longer slices, the ability to fit the bread into the slot was appealing. However, the toaster, H-Beach, gave inconsistent results; dark on one side..light on the other. Also, there were "stripe" marks and, at times, variable toasting from top to bottom. THEN, the Cusimax came up as an option. It has lit indicators for bread types and a countdown timer, so one can see the toast progress. Both sides come out evenly and with no light stripes. The crumb tray catches debris well (the Cuisinart dropped crumbs even with the catch tray in place.) Th slots are extra wide but not as long as the H_B but it is adequate got larger slices. A good toaster seems a simple task but some are better than others. The Cusimax is a winner for us.

This is actually the best toaster I have ever owned. First off, it looks great. Second, the functions are clear and easy to use including a digital countdown until done. But best of all, Third - it cooks the bread/bagels evenly. Almost all toasters I have used have "grill lines" that appear where parts are overcooked and parts are light. This really does evenly heat the surface so the entire piece is uniformly golden brown. Thank you for quality engineering.

Toaster looks good, and we like the visual count-down timer. Like most new toasters, it does a good job of browning toast evenly on both sides, but the proof will be the performance over time. As other reviewers have noted, the ends of the toaster get hot after use.

I got so tired of my wife complaining of burnt toast -- adjusting dials, up, down, and all around, never seemingly being able to get them right. I tried air toasters and the like too! If this toaster didn't work, I was tempted to get a nuclear powered one! But, while being chrome, THIS IS THE GOLD STANDARD in the toasting of bread, bagels, waffles, etc! It has a great display panel which helps in getting your toast, etc, just right! If you are frustrated like my wife was, do like this husband did and BUY THIS TOASTER!
