This is a piece of junk. Will not stay on. edit: So they only work when it is dark out. So you can not use them for any daytime events. At night they work great.

The string lights make a cozy warm light which is not too dark and not too bright for chilling on our patio at night. Every LED string was wind up separately so that I didn't have to struggle with knotted strings while hanging it. Each string also has a little plastic snap hook to easily hang it. The connecting wire between first LED string and solar panel is very long. That made it uncomplicated to find a proper position for the solar panel. Our solar panel and string lights are mounted under the eaves so the system isn't exposed to heavy rainfall. But we have high humidity here and until now I don't recognize any corrosion or damage. The connection plug is covered by an additional cable gland so it seems to be protected very well. The remote control has various setting options. We only use setting number 8 for constant light. I am curious if the solar panel and batteries are effective enough in winter when it is not so sunny. For summer evenings the solar powered LED strings are great. ... show more

I'm not sure these would be worth $26 if it wasn't for the fact that it has two ways to charge it: solar, and USB. I do think the charging panel is the best I've seen so far, and I probably have over twenty different solar string lights. These are hard to hang with the bottom ends untethered because the lines are close enough that they want to tangle together. If you want the lines to look neat and orderly, you'll have to have these tethered at the bottom as well if there is any wind whatsoever. I'm not 100% sold on how these look. The hooks at the top, while handy, look kind of cheap and obvious. Making the hooks less obvious looking would be better. I probably would rate these three stars for me personally, but I'm going to give these four stars because I do think this panel is something I haven't seen before that I hope more solar string lights will start using. ... show more

The lights are bright enough but keep the remote close to you. It seems that every day it resets the mode that the lights are in and will just cycle through all the modes. Other than this, there isn't nothing bad about the lights. There also isn't a lot of extra features.
