About 15 years ago I crushed three vertebrae in my back, I’ve never been the same since. However last visit to my doctor he suggested getting massages. I get constant just like foot cramps but down my spine, incredibly painful to stand walk etc. I went a few weeks later to visit my father, he has one of the very expensive chairs and I tried his, unbelievable. I got home and decided to get one I can afford, after days of searching I chose this one, about the only one in price range with the 3D, that’s key as you can adjust in and out. Is it the $12k chair, no, but for the money I find it does the job. I have been using it for about a month 2-3 times a day. My back feels, well never great, it never will, but it has given me such relief it’s crazy. I now actually sleep more and deeper, I never had dreams as I never got any deep sleep. I took a while to review as I really wanted to see how it did. At first the feet were painful, gotten use to that and I’m thin so I put a layer of memory foam between pad and roller. I use it everyday and it has improved my life pain wise. I am glad I got it, it really helps in my situation. I had to get use to it, kinda painful when you start out, but now I have no problems. Oh, and their delivery was fantastic, received it in three days, driver backed it up to my garage, while probably not supposed to he drug it into the house for me : ) ... show more

Overall this is an decent unit. I am 5'9ish 210ish pounds. This unit is a bit a snug. If you are larger than me it might be uncomfortable. If you have more money to spend I may suggest you get a more optioned out 3d massage chair. For the Price of 1950 after taxes you cant really find a 3D chair with the same features to match this unit. Most 3d units around the same price will not the the calf rollers for example. If you can live without 3d for similar price you can get a higher end 2d chair. If you need a really quiet unit do not buy this one it not loud but you dont get that peaceful quiet that you may want. I outline some points on thisa 3D massage chair below and my thoughts. Also, I will mention opening the box and condition of unit when recieved. Shipping: Unit came from a freight truck on a pallet. Similar like a TV you cut the plastic tabs and tapes before you can remove the top portion of thebox to expose the unit. It came pre assesmbled 90%. There are 2 plugs that you have to connect behding the seat cushion to allow the air massage to work and then there are 4 zipper points to attach the seat to the rest of the chair. This take like 5 mins. Hardest part is taking the unit off the pallet to move inside your home. It will fit through normal size doors. Bedroom doors you may have to remove the door. One issue is that there is are blue lights on either side and one of the lights is not working that I have to call support to send someone out to fix. Also, I am not sure yet but in some of the modes the roller can bang on the inside of the chair making some banging noise for that portion of the massge. WIll have to see what the tech say. Pro: Value 3D massage Decent amount various auto modes Zero gravity settings Caft rollers L/S track reaches your butt Cons: No body scan. you will notice this especially around your neck. Units with body scan will tailor the l/s track so that it will stop at you neck vs you having to physically move so it massage your neck better. 3D can be too much especially on the lower back by your tail bone. I got bruised up and I reccomend a folded towel. I think there should be a removable padding there. Noise. This is not a quiet unit. Its not too loud but can be annoying if you want to relax without a constant humming noise. If you have the tv going you typically do not notice the noise but I think this unit can be quieter. Time settings. You can set the time settings for 15, 20 or 30 minutes but it does not remember the settings. So everytime you use the chair it defaults to 15 minute intervals The foot air bag squeezes your foot against the rollers and it can hurt. Suggest some padding or something depending how sensitive your feet its. ... show more

This review is long overdue - while "shopping" for a massage chair I came across this chair - but it didn't have any reviews, which made me a bit nervous., especially at this price point. I spoke to an Amazon Service Rep, who suggested there were no reviews, perhaps I should look at another model of the same Osaki brand offered at other Amazon offerings. However, I really liked this particular one which had the most features. I looked at other Osaki options and in one review found a phone # in TX - where I learned that their Official Osaki Amazon Marketplace has Amazon pricing that was much lower than their website. He assured me that the chair was exactly the same. This was to be a Christmas gift - the grey color was not available so I chose the brown/taupe but in had 2nd thoughts and decided that black was a better choice but the taupe chair had already been shipped out - BUT the customer service rep said no worries - they would ship out the black one and sure enough they did. There were a couple of more shipping hiccups but that is not related to Ozaki but rather the shipping carrier. The chair is great! My hubby loves it and is very happy. My only wish is that there was a better instruction manual that explains the many different combination of massage options - it's currently a trial & error to get the right setting. Hope they develop one. Oh, the shipper drops at the curb and it arrives on a huge pallet - so you will need to use a huge hand truck - and need to dismantle the shipping box and then get it inside your house. It took 3 men to do so - you will appreciate the massage chair after that effort! All in all, I want to praise and compliment Osaki for their excellent customer service and highly recommend this massage chair - it surpassed my expectation and am very pleased!
