I’m old and have lousy flexibility so the ability to do front squats without bar retention being the limiting factor is great. It’s fairly easy to center the bar and unrack. Your core will definitely get work using this harness but the load is stable throughout the range of motion. I do agree with some other reviews that this harness is long and someone with a short torso might run into problems at the bottom of the movement. I’m 6’3” and the end of the harness ends up just below my belt line in the hole. I have seen some work-arounds in other reviews so check them out if you’re on the fence. ... show more

Great concept, but this harness is very long weighs at least 15lbs. Not something you carry in gym bag. If bought and kept at a gym, I would use it, but prefer not to drag this around. There is Styrofoam padding that is glued on to the stainless-steel frame. The padding on one of the bars is coming off and I haven't put harness together yet. Just something I feel that will wear out over time and would have to be replaced. Simple enough for those who want to do it.     • Perfect for aging knees.
This is perfect for someone that has concerns about knee problems down the road or if you’re currently having knee trouble caused by regular squats. There’s a ton of videos online that demonstrate how to use it. Basically you’re putting the emphasis on the quads during the squat as opposed to quads and hamstrings. Just start a little lighter until you’re used to how it feels. I do have a little trouble keeping it from slipping off because of trap development but it’s a learning curve worth mastering. The harness is perfect at the top. It fits the shoulders well and the first time I unracked the bar I loved not being chocked by the bar and not having my wrists twisted. Then I squatted and the lower outer corners of the harness dug into my thighs. This harness was too long for me. I am 5'6 (168cm) and when I stand the lower end of the harness is below my belly button. In a deep squat the relatively wide lower end with sharp corners hits my upper/inner thighs. So I cut off approximately 3.5" from the bottom of the harness, welded on new tabs and rounded the corners., now it fits me well. I gave it 3 stars because this needs to be sold in tall and short sizes. ... show more
