I had always wanted a light above her photo, however hiring an electrician to put one over it moving all the time seems just isn't right when I have remarried and have another family to care for now. Today though, everything is battery operated and the TINTINDOC Battery Picture Light is no exception. When the light was offered to Vine members, I immediately ordered it and couldn't wait to install it. Unfortunately, I had been sick and couldn't install it until much later. I absolutely love the light. It has multiple settings. It has all three light settings and has a gradient setting going from 10% to 100% light. You can operate it on a button with a light touch on the button on the left side or use the remote control which allows you to do all the above including a timer. The light offers everything and more than the one that would have been hard wired years ago. A magnet holds the light to the main bar and a USB-C cord is included to charge the light. It takes a few hours to recharge the light, but I do it in the morning and by afternoon it is charged. For all the TINTINDOC Battery Picture Light offers I am rating it five out of five stars.     • A great light to add ambiance to your art or posters
This is the fifth rechargeable light I've tried, and many of them are basically the same regardless of manufacturer. This one looks almost exactly like two others I purchased, and the remotes from the different units are interchangeable. You can choose between 3000k, 4500k, and 6000k lights, set them to the brightness you like, and use a timer if needed. I use a USB charging station to charge them up during the day (after use) and have them back up, fully charged before evening. If I only have them a few hours a night, the charge can last several days easily. I use these types of lights for movie posters, but they would be great for any art you want to illuminate. The media could not be loaded. We have a very large, brick fireplace; the mantel is actually taller than I am at 5' 7". There was no way to hard wire a light into it and I have always wanted to highlight my fox artwork with spot lighting. I chose this picture light because it's wireless. It works really well for us, especially if I keep it on the "warm" lighting effect setting since, for us, the light is so high, it CAN glare in your eyes if you're underneath it. The warm setting is the least offensive in this department. I'm stressing that this is the situation for us-it likely would not be an issue in a typical application where a picture is at, or just above, eye level. You can also choose cool, white light or natural light, which is a combo of both the white and warm light options. Within the color temperatures, you can also choose a brightness level. In the video, I was attempting to demonstrate the color changes and brightness levels but I did a terrible job! The clicking that you might be able to hear is me trying to change the brightness levels! The control does work well, I was just struggling with it while holding the camera. The controler does also have a timer function, which is handy if, like me, you tend to forget to turn things off! The light was partially charged upon arrival but I charged it to full capacity, which took 5 hours. There is a red indicator light within the light strip itself that turns green when it's charged. There is no "level" indicator for charging to tell you how much time is left for a full charge. Charging is with USB (A to C). You either need a USB charger outlet, an adaptor plug, or charge from another device. I believe the charge will last several hours based on one trial last night but I can't say for sure yet. Just pull the light bar off the bracket (a strong magnet holds it in place) for charging. The one thing that I didn't like about the light, but came to accept without issue, is the finish. It IS a little more yellow and brassy looking than I would like. If it were toned down a bit to a warmer gold or even black, I would like it better. I took a star away for that reason. Other than that, it's a great light at a good price. Oh! It does come with gold screws and anchors for installation into drywall but we had to use different screws since we were drilling into brick.     • Good Solution to Lighting Artwork with Running a New Circuit
Hiring an electrician is expensive so we looked for a product to illuminate a favorite piece of framed art in a dark corner of our house and we found this light. It is easy to install the mount into a stud or into drywall with the screws and drywall anchors that are included. The use of a magnet to attach the light bar to the mount is clever; it facilitates removing and replacement after charging via the include cable. I gave it four stars for brightness. Perhaps the manufacturer tried to achieve a good middle ground between brightness and battery duration per charge. The remote control is a good feature to have if mounting the light bar above one's reach. Well designed, seemingly well made product. Time will tell whether it performs over the long run. ... show more
