It's a Timex. It wasn't as inexpensive as they used to be, but it works. In fact, I bought this same watch in the early 90s at a Target in the $10 +/- range. I could put it on a stand and read the dial from across the room. That watch outlasted several far more expensive watches and was never finicky. Swap the battery occasionally, avoid dropping it in the toilet, it was fine. So is this one. It got to the point that my "dressy" burnt nickel watch with matching face was impossible to read without enough light. It's called getting old. Anyway, this serves the daily use purpose. I can see it, don't have to worry about wasting a "good" watch and it's comfortable. I bought a couple of inexpensive leather bands in case I get tired of the stretchy links. Great, rugged all around watch when you need to know is what time it is. Does anybody really know? Well, maybe not, but this Timex does. Now - to address all the 1 stars regarding battery swap and bands - You know what kind of band you're getting, buy a different watch or band. If the band post breaks, get another one. If the battery dies it's $10 at Walmart for a swap. Do it yourself is all over YouTube. IF you can't get the back to seal, the "special tool" for non watchmakers is a pair of pliers and a thick wash cloth. Get a couple of folds between the crystal and the back and squeeze, because that "special tool" is no more than clamp head pliers with the head covered in rubber or silicone. ... show more

This Timex is very easy to read. However, the watch band is not so easy to adjust. But, I did it even with 80 year old eyes. It's a good looking metal watch. I have worn Timex watches since I was 15 years old. This one is a winner. I can afford to spend a lot more money, but why do that. My iPhone is my number one watch. Great no-frills watch. Very easy to read dial. Includes date complication (no day of the week though). The only issue is with the metal band as my arm hair kept getting stuck in it and it hurts quite a bit. So I swapped it with 20mm black leather band and it looks even better. The best feature is the backlight which is activated by pushing the knob in, it is pretty bright and evenly spread throughout the dial. I would not wear it while diving or even swimming, but I did forget to take it off before showering couple times and it still works fine. ... show more

A watch is a very personal affectation, as we all carry a clock on our phones, who really needs a watch? I used to wear a watch for years and just recently have been looking (for months) for a timepiece with classic appeal so I donā€™t always have to dig out my phone. I looked at Diesel and Fossil as those are cool watch brands, I like their larger faces and somewhat trendy designs but didnā€™t want to break the bank. I work as a graphic designer and also on motorcycles so whatever I choose needs to take a beating as I plan to take it on and off all day... the expansion band seemed appropriate for this so I am looking forward to that feature. Also, never having an Indiglo watch before, I am hoping itā€™s bright enough to illuminate the way in pitch darkness which I bet it can do. Thirdly, the 1.5ā€ watch face is large without being a grandfather clock so, having this trifecta, i ordered it, it arrives Friday. I donā€™t own the watch yet, but have given it 5 stars for the above 3 points. Once I wear it for a month, presuming I like it and keep it that long, I will report back with a follow up review! UPDATE: Feb2020.. 2 YEARS LATER... I am still wearing this every day. I did have to remove a couple links a few months in at jeweler for a decent fit. The white face performs the way I wanted, in a super dark room this lights up your way. I came across a book called A Man and His Watch, a collection of stories associated with men and their timepieces, and this exact same watch was featured along with a story that includes Bill MF Murray!! Man that guy is everywhere. Anyway, get the watch. It will probably be my sons someday. ... show more
