This smells like toothpaste to me. It leaves my face feeling soft and clean but the toothpaste smell is strange. It's very gentle and not too heavy on your face. The mint smell is rather strong and can be too much after a little while.

But I have purchased products that are at least three times more and they just tended to irritate my skin or were very abrasive . I have very sensitive skin, and I've tried multiple products and sometimes get skin irritation. The Amazon basics brand is excellent. Leaves my skin clean non-irritated not overly abrasive. Amazon exfoliating wash with light scent is gentle on my face and does not cause any breaking out or rashes. Leaves skin soft but I do moisturize after using it. (If you do not use moisturizer your face will feel soft but it might feel a little dry.) Great price too!

    • Watered down Dishsoap and sand?
I figured I’d give this a shot because I’m looking for a new regular daily face wash, and I am underwhelmed. When I opened the package, both tubes were leaking. I took the lids off and it appeared that the safety seals had been peeled back. I thought it was strange, but was more surprised by the contents. What squirted into my hand was far too liquid to be packaged in a tube. It seemed to be very watered down Dawn dish soap with fine sand added to it. There is absolutely zero way this would make it to my face in the shower, it would be an exercise in futility. It would just run off. There was also a strange odor—I sniffed closer and realized it smelled like dirt. I checked my surroundings, made sure I wasn’t actually smelling dirt from somewhere. Nope. It was…whatever this was.
