This safe was more expensive than others this size but I liked the idea of the fingerprint opening which is faster. However that was the one thing that I could never get to work properly. I must have tried programming it 30 times, washing my hands inbetween, and it worked once to program my finger but then stopped opening it. So frustratng. The metal sides are thin and a very thin piece of material was on the bottom. Hardly any protection. I decided to install some softer thicker fabric on the shelf and bottom to better protect my valuables. I like the option of bolting it to the shelf with precut holes because it is not deep enough to secure to the wall behind and have it line up with my other shelving. Customer service answered my emails quickly and offered a replacement thanks to the one year warranty but they did not have the white color that I needed to match the shelving next to it. So I will keep working on the fingerprint issue to see if I am doing something wrong. Have watched the videos numerous times as well. Maybe I will get lucky one day. I am tenacious. UPDATE: I was able to finally program the fingerprint. Not sure why it worked but maybe because I flattened my finger more or just got lucky! I kept the safe! Long warranty and customer service is really good - super fast on return emails. They surprised me with a little gift for all my trouble. Very nice! ... show more

——————————- Update: 07/06/2020: ——————————- Customer Service: - I contacted TigerKing via email regarding the paint chips show in the pictures and they said they would compensate me for paint damage along with a gift for the troubles. -The response from start to finish took about 5 days. I would still recommend this product. ——————————————————- Date first reviewed: 07/03/2020 —————————————————— Overall rating 4/5 - due to paint chips, & the shelf not locking in place. I can’t give 5/5 review. PROS: - Offers plenty of room to store valuables such as a gun, money, medicine, or any other kind of important stuff. - Comes with a removable shelf - Available in multiple colors to go alone with the theme of your room or office. - The safe comes with 2-keys as a backup to get into the safe if the 4-AA batteries die. - Comes with a LOW Battery indicator so you know when to replace the battery. - TigerKing takes it a step further if you lost your keys and the internal battery is dead. They provide an external battery pack with a plug that connects to the front of the safe. The plug allows you to gain access to the digital pad lock which allows you to open the safe. - Comes with 4-bolts to allow you to drill into a wall, or table with pre-driller holes. - Spare keys comes with unique ID number along with a matching 3-numbers on the key slot on the safe. - Passcode display lights up blue and is very bright. It also comes with a very clear display which should help people with bad eyesight. - Allows for 2-passcodes to be set ranging from 1-8 digits. - Safe comes with a soft carpet for the bottom of the safe. CONS: - Safe moves easily if not bolted down on smooth surfaces. - Upon opening the safe I noticed multiple paint chips on the exterior and interior ( including on the shelf) [ I am waiting for feedback from the company on this issue} {pictures will be posted above) - Chrome is plated and looks cheaply made. - Removable logo for hidden key is cheaply made with noticeable sprayed paint on the back. - please note: The safe is not fire or water resistant, so don’t put anything you not want to lose inside of it. - The 4-AA internal batter case is connected into the door. The case is lifting up. (Picture will be shown.) - There is no silent mode while entering in a passcode or the ability to lower or higher the button sounds. - The safe allows for 1-master code and 1-regular passcode. I do not see the reason for having a master and a regular passcode when the master code does not have any additional benefit then the regular code. They both allow you to change your password and they both deactivate the security alarms. - The safe comes with a feature that allows you to hide your passcode being displayed as you enter the code. Unfortunately this must be done each and every time you want to enter the passcode. (Press #, press *, enter passcode then press # to unlock. - The shelf only sits on top and does not lock securely into place. This could of been the reason for the inside having paint chips and scratches as it was delivered in such condition with no padding. OVERALL, I would recommend this safe to anyone who has to keep kids or nosey people out of their belongings. The safe has an anti-prying design. Anyone who wants a decent secure safe that is within a budget price should get this product.     • Handy Safe For Preventing Unauthorized Access To Wallet, Keys, Medicines Etc.

Handy medium duty safe for wallet, jewelry, keys, etc.. Not fire resistant, nor is it water resistant with it's pre-drilled holes for secure mounting, but nice for securing valuables from a quick theft. Pros: Affordable medium security, easy to secure to wall with wall hangers included and has predrilled holes for back or bottom anchoring. 1 cu. ft. size will fit manila folder. Great for securing items from unauthorized use. Cons: Supposedly will set 2 access codes, one master and one user code but so far I have only been able to program one at a time, When I first opened the safe I found the painted finish chipped off at the bottom left corner of the door frame (photo) concealed by the foam pad inserted in that corner for shipping. It's not a deal breaker however and I touched up the bare metal with a black marker. Also there was a very loose screw on the inside of the door near the light that may have worked loose in shipping that I tightened. I rated it 4 stars partly because of the chipped finish but mostly because of the general construction. A determined thief could access this safe with ordinary hand tools but not not without a lot of effort and a whole lot of noise. I don’t like the plastic silver ring. Wish it wasn’t plastic. Bolts to the wall. I’m excited to have and use this safe. Missing emergency cover king lock cover. Disappointed. Tried to contact customer support and no luck.

Love the safe but you have to make sure your finger is cleaned when it goes to memory scan your finger. And make sure your finger is done what cleaned before you scan it this isn’t State of the art technology but I promise it will work every time! 👌🏻 I made these mistakes which is why I’m giving the word. But I really love the safe and the price is really fair and it’s very sturdy and tough! 10/10 ... show more

Finger print reader is great. Love the room and the shelf to keep things organized. I thought it was suppose to beep when someone hit it or moved it but it doesn't. I never double checked if that was right....but I do like that it beeps somewhat loud enough so if my kids r trying to get in I can hear it lol. I keep the keys locked because my kids are crazy and key locks just don't work in this house. Pray that if the batteries run out I get a warning first....lol ... show more

Nice dark black, compact, not heavy, inside light and easy to program. It doesn’t have key hooks, so I bought some adhesive hooks and placed inside for my keys, works great!
