If you need a really great lockbox, this is it. I used mine for a gun safe to keep my small grandchildren away from my guns. It’s just perfect for the price. Easy to use, roomy, and secure enough. So if someone would try to get in it, it would take them quite a while and several heavy duty tools to get in. This is a great little safe! I would have given 5 stars if it had a different type of key; I’d prefer a standard key to a barrel-type key. It comes set with two generic codes to open it, and you must change them immediately. Make sure to do both. The inside shelf is removable, and the safe holds quite a lot. It fits perfectly inside a cabinet I have that is only 10 inches deep. It has a decent weight to the metal, and a thick sturdy locking bolt. It will keep babysitters, pet sitters, and children away from your items. Someone with time and tools could bash into it, but that’s any safe that’s not extremely thick and heavy. First and foremost, the customer service is so far above what I would have expected. There was a minor flaw on the bottom panel, and they responded and interacted promptly and genuinely. I decided to keep my safe, as the flaw won't be visible post install. But they insisted on doing something. You can tell they are very passionate about their products. I've had this safe for a few months now. The installation and set-up were fairly easy. All of my basic vital documents fit just fine, along with the fireproof/waterproof bags I keep them in. I did have to fold our marriage certificate, but those are absurdly sized. I think this is a fantastic option for the average home. Every home should have a safe. For the price, this small safe does the job well. You can program two keycodes for digital entry, plus there are physical keys for emergency entry. An exterior battery pack is included, which you can plug into the keypad in an emergency when the keypad has run out of juice. I knew for $128 not to expect too much. Even with that, I was disappointed. When I picked the box up from the front porch, I knew there was a problem. It was too light. If I wanted to do so, I could have carried it with one hand. When I pulled it out of the box, I understood why. While the door was fairly decent, the body of the lockable storage box was too thin. You could probably punch through it with a hammer and a flat tip screwdriver. A chisel would be better. I did receive all of the components. In spite of the grammatical errors, the directions were written in a manner that was easy to follow. I was so underwhelmed, however, that I did not try to set any of the two codes. I thought of keeping it. Less than forty-eight hours later, I have decided it is not worth keeping. It was packaged nicely. The shipping box even had built in carrying handles ... show more
