  • Love my trug especially with the drain holes on the one side.
Very well made.

  • How do I love this trug??…. Let me count the ways!!
There are a lot of things to love about this trug. In fact maybe it should be called a trugander, because it is kind of like a colander and a trug. You can use it to gather produce. And then you can do a wash on the produce right in the trug since there are holes in the bottom at one end. I use these all season long, and I also use them to put into our cooler if I don’t have time to process any produce right then. It can be disinfected/ cleaned very easily because it is plastic. The only reason that I did not give sturdiness a 5, ( because it is plenty sturdy) is that the attachment of the handles to the actual trug is somewhat of a weak point. I used to hang them on my fence posts in my gardens, but I don’t do that anymore . I believe that wind weakened the handles and broke them. I can still use the trug, it just doesn’t have handles. Mine have lasted multiple seasons if I store them in the garage over winter. And I am actually planning to give them out as Mother’s Day gifts this year for gardening family/friends filled with gardening supplies. Because the price is also very reasonable. I have tried many buckets/baskets/trugs over the years. This one remains my favorite. ... show more

  • Holds a lot of garden produce
This "trug" holds a lot of garden produce and is convenient because you can hose the dirt off and drain off the water easily. The handles are maybe not sturdy enough (??) or placed right (???) because if the load isn't perfectly balanced it will tip. Once it starts to tip there's no stopping it and everything spills out. I found it the most handy on the countertop in the kitchen with the holes over the sink for the final cleaning of our bumper crop of tomatoes. But will we use it again next season? You bet! If someone figured out the problem with the handles this would be a must-have for gardeners. ... show more

  • Great for carrots, beets, garlic ...
Great for beets, carrots, radishes etc., root veggies with greens to clean. Easy to hold, spray clean. Larger and sturdier than most. The strainer part is only on one side. I just put it in my sink at a tilt to clean produce; This allows me to spray water without making a mess like a regular strainer or mess would. Tilt slightly in the other direction to soak to get dried on dirt off easier. This product Replaced our wicker baskets because it's more sturdy and easier to clean. ... show more

  • Gardening must have!
In the spring I kept this stocked with my planting and weeding tools so everything I needed was always at hand. Now I take it to the garden and there is plenty of room to gather all I've grown. The colander makes it super easy to rinse off things right from the trug.

  • Love this basket for the garden
Great for the garden

  • nice trug
I have been using this for a few weeks now to haul in my garden bounty, so thought I could leave an honest review. I loved the concept of the plastic trug with the drain holes, and that is a great feature. However, while I thought the folding handles would be great, they actually make it more difficult to carry it when it is full or filling up. I have to be careful not to tip out the produce if I place it in the trug to one side or the other. So I tend to set it down, put the produce in it and then pick it up to move the whole thing to a new spot. ... show more
