These are good waders for your first season of fly fishing, for someone who isn’t so sure if they are going to stick with the hobby but want a decent setup. I was very rough with them, walking thru heavy brush with thorns, hiking many many miles in them, slipping on rocks, scraping my knees multiple times on river rocks, and they held up fine from all that. The leaks that did end up happening were pinholes from my flies getting caught in them, which were easy to fix (turn inside out, spray with rubbing alcohol, mark dark spots and coat those spots with aqua seal). The taped seams on the wader held up really well, no delaminations at all. The stocking foot seam tape joint to the wader leg did spring a small leak but I think that was from a bad fall late in the season over stretching that joint. Nothing a bit of aqua seal couldn’t fix. Important to note that the front pouch is not water proof so don’t put any electronics in it if you are wading chest deep. After a season of Extremely hard use, and these easy minor repairs, these waders are leak-free again. Having decided that I will continue with fly fishing for the foreseeable future, I have now invested in a high end wader that costs many times the price of this one, but these will work well as my spare set when even the high end ones eventually leak and need to go in for repairs, and as the spare set in the truck. Could I have kept using these? Sure, but with plans to continue hitting the rivers this winter, I decided I would play it safe by having a much more robust set up and some redundancy. I remain happy with this purchase. I think for someone who is more casual and who isn’t quite as rough on equipment these would work even better. These waders served me very well despite the occasional repairs I had to make towards the end of my first season. Recommended.

*Update* Someone from TideWe reached out to me and that was cool. I ended up getting a free replacement pair through Amazon and my pair with the loose seam is on its way back. I’ll come back and update this review after a handful of uses. How do I get in touch with this company? Received them Wednesday and used them tonight for the first time and one of the seams tape is coming undone on the bottom of the right foot (see pix) For those wondering about fit, I’m 5’7, 170 and went with a medium. My inseam is 30” and these have plenty of room in the ol nether regions. I wear a size 9 shoe and the booties fit me perfectly. If you wear a 10 they may be too snug. They kept me dry, but I’m disappointed that a seam is already coming undone.

Everything about theses waders are great. Only used 3 times so far but fit is good, flexibility is good and so far durable as we need to kneel on granite to get out of the lake we fish. The bag, phone case straps, water proof pockets and belts all work well.
