You really do get what you pay for and this rack was completely worth it. My bikes don’t shake, rattle, or move while in transport. They’re extremely secure and the built in anti-wobble knob is perfect. There is absolutely zero hitch wobble and rattle. You won’t even know it’s on your vehicle. The straps and locking in mechanisms are easy to use. The ratcheting system on the straps make it simple to tighten to the perfect tension. Thule honestly makes some top notch gear.

If you've been putting off a hitch rack because your e-bikes are heavy, the Thule Vero 2 is your sign to stop waiting. Each tray handles up to 80 lbs, the 180-degree pivoting arms make loading from either side genuinely simple, and the whole thing folds up snug against the vehicle when not in use. It feels overbuilt in the best possible way, heavy on aluminum and light on the plastic flex you get from cheaper options. The integrated locks, trunk tilt access while loaded, and built-in transport wheels are the features you don't know you need until you have them. This rack doesn't mess around, and neither should you if you're hauling serious bikes.

Installation of this rack took us a couple hours but that’s mainly from not being familiar with it or bike racks in general, I thought the instructions were clear and it’s a fairly straight forward process. It mounts very securely to the hitch, it has a pin locking system and a handle that tightens the connection up, which also locks via a key. I think it’s very well designed and it felt secure with next to no wobble, the hitch mount section and the platform are all made from thick steel with everything feeling very robust and durable. I like how they designed the whole installation process to be done by a single person, including a temporary bracket that holds the platforms in place while you attach and tighten them to the center bar. There’s even some plastic trim pieces that attach to the center bar that make it look more finished as opposed to bare metal and the attention to detail is appreciated; it really feels like a well thought out design, especially when a lot of products these days don’t go the extra mile and often omit things to keep costs down. There’s a large handle with a button to release the platform so it can fold up for storage or down to carry bikes and it’s another nice piece of design that makes it very easy and smooth to use. The platform uses rubber straps to hold the bikes to the platform with three contact areas at the front and rear wheels and at the frame. Each point has a ratcheting mechanism to pull the straps tight and it also works extremely well and holds my bike securely. There isn’t much I’d change about the whole design, if anything. It’s very easy to use, holds even electric bikes securely and when not in use, folds up against the vehicle to minimize the footprint. Between the great overall design and sturdiness of the platform, I came away pretty impressed with it and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it, I think it’s excellent and has made taking our bikes to the local forest preserves a much easier and smoother process than stuffing them into the cargo area.

After using a handful of cheaper bike racks over the years, this thing is in a completely different league. Yeah, it’s expensive, but once you actually use it, you understand where the money went. The build quality is unreal - everything feels tight, solid, and overbuilt in the best way possible. I mainly bought it for hauling heavier mountain bikes and e-bikes, and it handles the weight without feeling sketchy at all. No wobbling, no bikes smacking into each other, and no constant checking the mirror wondering if everything’s still back there. The wheel trays and arms are super easy to adjust, and loading bikes takes maybe 30 seconds. One thing I really appreciate is how stable the rack itself is in the hitch. Barely any movement compared to a lot of other platform racks I’ve tried. The integrated locks are a nice bonus too, especially for quick stops on road trips. Definitely not a budget rack (buy once cry once!) , but if you transport bikes often and want something that feels premium and genuinely confidence inspiring for your expensive ebikes, this thing absolutely delivers. Feels like one of those purchases where you buy it once and never think about replacing it again.

I’ve been using the Thule Vero 2 hitch bike rack, and it’s been a huge upgrade for transporting bikes—especially heavier e-bikes. The biggest advantage is the stability and build quality. Once mounted, it feels extremely solid on the vehicle, even with two heavier bikes loaded. Each tray easily handles weight without flexing or wobbling, which gives a lot of confidence on longer drives or highway speeds. Loading and unloading is also very straightforward. The pivoting arms make it easy to secure bikes independently, and the tilting function is really useful for accessing the trunk without having to remove everything. The built-in wheels are a surprisingly helpful detail when moving the rack around before installation. It’s also very adaptable. I’ve used it with different bike styles, including step-through frames, without needing extra adapters. The straps and frame holders feel secure and well-designed. The folding feature is another big plus—it tucks in close to the vehicle when not in use, which helps a lot when parking in tight spaces. Overall, this is a premium, well-engineered bike rack that feels built for long-term use. It’s especially good if you’re carrying heavier e-bikes and want something stable, secure, and easy to live with day to day.

This bike rack can be used for any type of bike its not exclusive to E bikes but it is strong enough to hold the weight of an E-bike it seems like it was specifically designed to accommodate the odd configurations of E bikes ,the rack is designed with an extending arm that allows you to manipulate a portion at a time to assist and make loading super easy ,once the bikes are loaded the rack is rock solid and taking a peek in the mirror won't make you nervous ,the rack has wheels and that's a good thing because it's heavy ! so the wheel assistance is very appreciated

What can I say, high quality. Thule earned it. This one is no exception and will serve the purpose. Heavy duty, will not let your bikes get loose. This model is slight modification from previous one and will let to hold bikes having fenders. Previous one was having issues with fixing points if your bikes have fenders. No need to remove bikes to get to the trunk, open 5th door. Even more it can go to. Negative angle once you flip it to let u easy to load some heavy things. Oh, it has small wheels to assist you loading some heave things. Help you to slide it. Yes it is very expensive. Does it worth it, don't know. May be depends of your personal perception. One thing, as accessory you can buy folding loading ramp for it on thule website. On my opinion when you pay almost 1300 plus tax, this ramp should be included. You need it to avoid lifting heavy electric bike. I think i will take one star because of it. It is actually serious disadvantage for this bike holder. Ramp needs to be included for this price!
