I attached this to my Kia crossbars using the tracks mount option and it worked great. The rear pads are smooth enough to let the kayak slide forward into position easily. Very sturdy when in place. The straps are nice and I like that they included bow lines as well. Only complaint is that the front mounts flop open too far for some reason. Sometimes I have to wrestle with the kayak from the back of the roof to try to get the front mounts to flip back to the right inward angle. I'm not sure if that's a design feature I missed, or an unintended flaw. I don't see a need to have them flop that far open. ... show more

I was a bit leery about ordering this because it was $100 less than the other options for the same product: $149.95 vs. $249.95. I can't say yet whether the product is going to work well for me, but I got everything needed to connect it to my Thule Aeroblade and Probars AND any other bars I would want to connect to. The boxes were a little beat up i.e., the box it came in and the product box inside the shipping box were taped together. I don't know if the product was used or not for sure, but I don't think so. The parts bags were sealed. My guess is that the product box was not in good shape so made the product less saleable on a showroom floor. These bags were kinda dusty and dirty, but the actual products are in good shape. Overall... I am very pleased! Saving $100 and putting up with a little dust, dirt and ramshackle boxes is a no-brainer. I highly recommend!!! ... show more

Easy to install but requires tweaking to fit your specific kayak. Have to watch contact with auto paint when loading. I use a carpet or door Mat for loading on my truck. Once set up does not take long to load kayaks. Once loaded kayaks will not move. I use hood straps that make it easy to tie front of kayak down without straps wearing on hood paint. Also since kayak is facing up need covers for all openings in case of rain and they need to be real snug. I lost one cover so far that I thought was pretty secure. ... show more

This product only works with the Thule sliding bars. I have basic bars on my Subaru Forester. If you need to attach this rack system to non-Thule racks, this may not work for you. This product from the U.K. does not come with the same parts as the one sold in the U.S. even though the product description lists the parts that are not in the box - the flip fit adapter pieces that allow you to attach it to non-Thule racks. If you need to attach it to non-Thule racks, this may not work for you, as it does not work for us. ... show more
