  • Great joystick for Microsoft flight simulator 2020
No issues experienced with using with Microsoft flight simulator 2020. It worked right out of box and is truly plug and play. I do like the ability to adjust the tension on the stick unlike other joysticks that feels loose all the time. A definite improvement over my 20 year old other brand joystick. The red accents on it gives it some nice contrast to the all black design and has plenty of programmable buttons for various games. ... show more

  • Works well on the games it works on.
I don't play a ton of games that require a joystick but I thought I'd by fairly nice one. The button all work well and the joystick feels good. However it didn't work with some games but worked with some so old I wasn't sure it would work. Tested the following The mid 90s Star Wars fighter games and they all worked. Simple Planes worked. IL Sturmovick no response. Flight Simulator X no response. Wings over Europe no response. I just don't have that many joystick games so other may have better luck but since it worked with the two games I wanted to use it with the most I am fairly satisfied. If it worked with almost all games it would have gotten a 5. ... show more

  • Did not arrive in a shipping box, came in just the product box...and opened.
The item works even though the shipping was a mess. Came open and box destroyed. the item is recognized by the PC and all the buttons and sliders seem to work. Will update later on after I play a couple of games with it. -2 stars cause shipping was out of of control.

  • Good quality stick
In my opinion you really cant go wrong with a Thrustmaster stick. They have been making good quality sticks for years. I currently own both this stick and an older T1600 stick. This stick is a bit less expensive and just as good as the T1600 as far as I can tell. The button placement is not exactly the same, so going from one to the other takes some getting use to, but both have plenty of buttons for whatever application you are using the stick for. I use them mostly for flight sims. As many of the reviews here point out, the base of this T-Flight stick is large. Very large. It is bigger even than the T1600, so it will take up a lot of space on your desktop. The bigger the base the more stable the stick is and since you don't want the thing moving around its best just to accept the large base. Overall I would buy this stick over the T1600 as it does the job just as well and is less expensive. ... show more

  • Not the best
I bought this in order to place Microsoft Flight Simulator. After using it for about a month I can say I'm fairly disappointed. I tried calibrating it, but when I fly the airplane drifts to the right. A few weeks ago it was also causing the airplane to go up. Today it seems to be staying level. Who knows. When I have my throttle idle. The flight sim is showing 20 percent. When I push up nothing moves in the flight sim until I get just before the middle when the flight sim would jump from 20 percent to 60 percent. Then it goes to 100 percent when I push to the top. So there is no granular adjusting of the airplane throttle with the throttle on this stick. It's 20 percent, 60 percent or 100 percent. The resistance knob at the bottom doesn't have any effect that I can see. ... show more

  • Works fine for PS3. For PC too. Just do not calibrate joystick.
Unboxed it yesterday. * For PS3 it works fine with Il-2 Sturmovik, by setting switch to PS3. You need to use the Joystick as controller, and not the PS3 control. * For PC (with switch in PC position) you may need NOT to calibrate.During calibration does not draw a circle in the calibration area, but some sort of weird "8" shaped line. Horrible problem if you dare to calibrate. Cannot use on PC if you calibrate, reset to default. This problem takes down one star. This is how it works. There is a switch for PC and PS3 in front of the joystick. To use for PS3: 1.Set switch to PS3 position. 2.Connect to PS3 USB port. 3.Turn on PS3. 4.If another controller is connected you must set it as controller 2 so Joystick is controller 1. 5.You may need to change your game options to use Thrustmaster joystick. 6.Exit game, reboot PS3. In the PS3 you should navigate menus with hat and the button that is used as X button. Joystick does not have a way to emulate START and SELECT buttons. Not all games are meant to be used with a joystick. For example, Top Gun Hard lock will not work with this joystick. It was made for the standard PS3 controller. You will not succeed trying to use joystick for racing cars either. To use on PC. 1.Set switch to PC position. 2.Plug joystick to PC. 3.Manual has a URL. Download PDF manual and drivers. Install drivers. 4.Reboot computer. * PC games that have custom joystick handling, or that are set to use analog USB joysticks may have compatibility problems. * My tests suggest that games that use TrueVision engine will not work. This engine will mess up your joystick input until you reboot. Do not try TrueVision games with this joystick. * It works perfectly with Orbiter Space Flight Simulator that is a realistic freeware space sim. Just select joystick device "T Flight Stick X" and main engine control "Slide 0". Lack of an intuitive manual and calibration issues. ... show more
