For the most part, easy to install except if your snowblower has a bump out on both sides for the auger shaft you need to use spacer washers and longer bolts to make it fit properly. The company should know that and supply spacers and bolts just in case. Otherwise I love it

I purchased this product in the middle of October 2024 and installed it according to the provided instructions. After installation I could clearly see that there was a problem. The blade at its lowest position was several inches off the ground. So I determined what I needed to do to reinstall the unit properly. 2 weeks after this I received an email from the manufacturer stating the installation instructions were not correct. Finally it's January 2025 and we have enough snow that requires removal from the sidewalks and driveway. We had 2-3 inches of snow so I figured using the snow blade would be perfect since it wasn't a really wet snow. I started on the driveway and was very disappointed in this product. With the blade angled the snowblower would just spin its wheels after 10-15 feet and there wasn't that much heavy snow and I had enough speed the snow should have slid off the side of the blade. I figured I would lift the blade and use the snowblower. My concern that I discovered after initially installing this came true. The snow blade and the brackets add a lot of weight to the front of the snowblower. Maneuvering and controlling the snow blower is now much more difficult with the added weight. I should have returned this when I found this out at installation but now that its 2 1/2 months later I'm stuck with a poor performing product. Thankfully I have another snowblower so I could park this one and get my snow removed. I've seen the advertising videos and truly can't figure out how they get this product to work. Great option for snow removal for companies during business hours where snow trowing isn't possible. I like the ease of use and ability to transition between thrower and blade. Also very easy to remove blade and compact storage. The part to keep in mind is that you should lower your cutting edge and glides on the thrower to lowest setting if following install video which has you measure 9" up for bracket as compared to written instructions, which have you measure 7.5" up for the bracket. Blade will increase your width, which has its pros and cons. I see the one area that could be improved (reason behind 4 star rating) is blades cutting edge is foam material and understand it keeps from marking up concrete drives and walkways but don't imagine it will last long on more aggressive surfaces like asphalt or road base, a polycarbonate might be an easy replacement option once the foam has met its match. Haven't used yet and will update when I finish it. The blade itself seems nice and strong. The mounting hardware and brackets not so much. It won't stay up unless strapped because each arm moves so much and the pin holding it is very short. I'll use it but will never buy again. Maybe id purchase just the blade but I'll make my own brackets. Ill probably make replacement brackets to replace the factory ones. Would be nice not to have to remove blade and the brackets just to move it ... show more

    • Works as advertised!! Once it's set up properly.
Past few years we've been getting storms with smaller amounts of slushy, heavy, wet snow that clogs the auger chute and strains my 21 year old Ariens snowblower. So I purchased this attachment specifically for those moments. I used it today for the first time. Worked great!! Although, it's not perfect. Set up is fairly easy for someone that is good with tools. But, if you have an older snowblower, like mine, you'll need to add spacers to the bracket to separate it from the auger spindle shaft that protrudes thru the sides. And you may need to play with the blade width to get the top spring pins to engage securely. So.. a few quirks that might require minor customization. But once its set up, it's easy to use.
