  • Excellent product !!!
After using the ThrowerBlade, I don’t want to clear snow without it. It converts your snowblower into a walk-behind plow, which makes clearing faster and more controlled—especially for wet, heavy snow. The kit is well-engineered, installs with basic tools, and feels built to last with sturdy steel components and a rubber cutting edge that’s driveway-friendly. ... show more

  • Good for wet snow.
We had a few 1 inch or less storms of light fluffy snow. It's easier to push the snow with a wide shovel. It is heavy on the front end of the snowblower. One pin on each arm and you can remove the heavy blade. I plan to use this when we get a storm of heavy wet snow. I think this will work well to push wet snow into a pile and then lift and lock the blade up before using the snowblower to remove the snow pile from the driveway. A drill sized for the bolts came with the kit. It required laying on the garage floor to assemble the unit onto the snowblower. Cold unless you have old pillows to lay on. ... show more

  • Should Be Standard
Let start simple - I am using a 10+ year old 24 inch blower. This blade is a must! I do have a couple of critiques, but it doesn’t change the rating. Every snow blower should have this as an option from the manufacturer. Wet/heavy/slush over 2 inches - there is nothing outside of 96” blade on a full size truck that will address that. Hence picture of neighbour’s drive done by a professional plough, and mine with the throw blade. When that stuff comes in; yes, you will need to clear through the night, or pay a professional. Done and said. The assembly is straightforward enough. The manufacturer should, on its outside packaging and instructions make more prominent of the video link. What would be a suggestion for improvement/support; provifr the part numbers for replacement and a link to order. Assembly - as said, straightforward and simple enough. Personally, take the side rails off when you use the templates Of course, you need to be satisfied with the leveling of the blowers blade. If you are going to load your blower up in a hitch carrier, (again) mine is a 24 inch blower. When you put the side brackets on, you are now looking at 26+ inches. My carrier is 28 inches. If you have a blower over 24 inches, I can understand some of the complaints when trying to push the snow. You are not going to be able to get the same angle/deflection as a more narrow blower. I honestly do not have a recommendation for the manufacturer about this because when you pull one side in; that arm may get too clow to the tyre and make contact. Upside and absolute necessity of having this; at lowest (or ground) setting, if there is any ice chunks, road debris, and rocks - the blade will push it aside and you don’t have to worry about the augers and shear pins. Now, this is shouldn’t distract anyone from buying this. It is an honest recommendation to the manufacturer; put two holes at the bottom of the side plates. This would allow the user to bring the blade an inch (or two) off the ground. That way, if there is a heavy, or accumulation of snowfall overnight, it provides a balance of use of the blade and using the augers. For the moment, I am using heavy duty magnets to do this. When winter is done, I will take the side plates to our local machinist/bodyworks and have the side plates modified. Will I buy it again - YES. Do I recommend this - YES! ... show more

  • Disappointed
I purchased this product in the middle of October 2024 and installed it according to the provided instructions. After installation I could clearly see that there was a problem. The blade at its lowest position was several inches off the ground. So I determined what I needed to do to reinstall the unit properly. 2 weeks after this I received an email from the manufacturer stating the installation instructions were not correct. Finally it's January 2025 and we have enough snow that requires removal from the sidewalks and driveway. We had 2-3 inches of snow so I figured using the snow blade would be perfect since it wasn't a really wet snow. I started on the driveway and was very disappointed in this product. With the blade angled the snowblower would just spin its wheels after 10-15 feet and there wasn't that much heavy snow and I had enough speed the snow should have slid off the side of the blade. I figured I would lift the blade and use the snowblower. My concern that I discovered after initially installing this came true. The snow blade and the brackets add a lot of weight to the front of the snowblower. Maneuvering and controlling the snow blower is now much more difficult with the added weight. I should have returned this when I found this out at installation but now that its 2 1/2 months later I'm stuck with a poor performing product. Thankfully I have another snowblower so I could park this one and get my snow removed. I've seen the advertising videos and truly can't figure out how they get this product to work. I would definitely not recommend this product. ... show more

  • Works as a plow but take it off to use your blower as a blower.
Seems to work ok as a plow but don't leave it on even in an upright position. Adds too much weight to the front end. Seemed to affect the way the blower moved, not sure if it strains the transmission or not. So I take it off to use the blower and the blower works fine.

  • Good quality blade.
Installation was easy. It hasn’t snowed yet so I can’t say how good it works. It seems like it will be great.

  • Seems nice, but.
Installed today in 70f weather, printed instructions would be nice with pictures. One side lever to lock blade in place was defectively made; to high for pin to clear. Two choices were grind down, or slightly bend tab for pin to clear. Bent it with adjustable about 1/8 inch, now pin can turn. Have not used yet, flipping up and locking easy, releasing both pins to drop down a little more work. Have to hold blade weight to release locking pins. Alignment, had to move templete about 1/4 inch in from front, due to side cover form bend. ... show more

  • Snowplow blade
This snowplow blade works well. I would recommend having a powerful snowblower because if the snow is heavy the snowblower won’t move.
