  • 5.0 out of 5 stars Easy install and works well
Style: Door Sensor
Used to replace Samsung devices that quit work ing on two doors. Deleted old devices from smart things. Then on smart things did a scan one by one and they connect in a minute and I named them as I connected them. Physically installed them on doors with no issues. Old devices were installed with 3M strips so just needed to attach to new devices. ... show more

  • 5.0 out of 5 stars UPDATE FROM PREVIOUS REVIEW!
Style: Door Sensor
After posting my review, the seller reached out to me to make things right. He asked a series of questions, and after acknowledging the product was defective. He is sending me a replacement at no charge. That’s great customer service.

  • 5.0 out of 5 stars Easy install
Style: Door Sensor 4 Pack
These were simple to install, I would recommend the 2x tape or velcro instead of screws...I have them on doors and windows w/ alexa notifications and they work flawlessly!

  • 5.0 out of 5 stars Works with SmartThings, setup is a breeze
Style: Door Sensor
This one is neat sensor, and was installed in 5 minutes. Adding to my Aeotec SmartThings hub was a breeze. Some reviewer has complained, please ignore them. Battery TBD, of course. But I have setup two automations already: a routine to send me text when the battery drops below 15%. A second one (this is primarily why I bought this sensor), to lock my UltraLoq dead bolt 30 seconds after the door is closed.. Success! ... show more

  • 5.0 out of 5 stars I was happy with it, then it went haywire, then it returned to working properly
Style: Door Sensor
Updated review 11/14/22 and reinstated 5 star rating: Apparently, during the last week or so of October 2022, there was a software issue of some sort between this device (contact & motion sensors) and my Echo Show. I think it was a zigbee issue. A lot of users of zigbee-enabled devices complained about it on reddit. I don't know the exact problem because it's all hush-hush, keep the customer uninformed. Apparently, it was corrected by Amazon after approximately one week. My Third Reality zigbee contact and motion sensors all work beautifully at the moment. Until the next glitch, of course. I reinstated my original 5 star rating because I really like how these devices work for me (except for the glitches, of course). ----------------- Updated review 10/31/22 and 1 star rating: It worked great, until it didn’t. It disconnected from Alexa and won’t reconnect. The sensor itself works. The red light lights up when the door is open, but what good is a sensor when Alexa can’t tell you the door is open? ——————— Original review 10/13/22 and original 5 star rating: This device works with my Echo Show with zigbee. I asked Alexa to "find my device" and she did. I didn't need any other hub, app, or skill, and I like that it's not wifi. I purchased a couple to use on interior doors at night so I know if a door opens or not. I set up an Alexa routine. In my house, Alexa announces the door is open within 3 seconds of opening the door. There is no down or recovery time. It'll work again within seconds. I'm very happy with it and its easy integration via zigbee with the Alexa app. ... show more

  • 5.0 out of 5 stars They work well depending on pairing.
Style: Door Sensor 4 Pack
They don't connect with smartthings or aeotec as stated so I'm glad I got the hub. Google doesnt allow automations with them will only show if opened or closed. They do work very well with Alexa though so I was able to make great use.

  • 3.0 out of 5 stars Must use hub for 5th generation Echo dot, despite the fact that 4th generation does not need a hub
Style: Door Sensor
It may be unfair to rate it a 3, since it may work if all the components required are used. I give it a three because in my research on line, and at 3reality.com, I could not find any info on Echo dot 5th generation support specifically. I was lead to believe that it works, without a hub, on "later generation Echo dots, such as 4th gen". It is therefore natural to assume that 5th generation, which is even later generation would also work. I did not want another unnecessary device draining electricity if I could avoid it, this is why I ordered this device, since it appeared no hub was needed. Documentation is weak in general. I actually like the yolink devices better, so now that I have to have an extra hub for Echo dot 5th Gen, I will be going that route. There are also several detailed on-line videos showing yolink integrations with Alexa, but one for 3reality devices. Again the main complaint here is poor documentation that led me to thinking I did not need the hub, and poor documentation in general. ... show more

  • 5.0 out of 5 stars Worked well integrating via SmartThings
Style: Door Sensor
I use the SmartThings hub to bring some devices into my ecosystem for overall control via Home Assistant and using Node Red. I used this for a garage door sensor and was looking for sensing with a larger gap between sensor and magnet. In my installation this has a .5 inch gap and contacts reliably. It added easily to the SmartThings hub. Battery life is TBD, but I was able to monitor contact Open or Closed and also battery level through SmartThings. In Node Red I set up my monitor routine for contact status but was also able to monitor battery level so I will get notification of low battery as SmartThings will not tell me if the sensor has dropped off from the hub. Sensor is fairly small and I was able to mount it in minutes with included double sided tape. ... show more
