This is a decent pillow. I don't know about the "cooling qualities" of it but I will say that I never wake up feeling like I'm sleeping on hot coals. So there's that. The pillows really are fairly comfortable. Two downsides. One, you really need to fluff your pillow every night. If you don't, it can easily end up feeling like a rock. Consider that statement to be The Voice of Experience. Two, the pillows lack consistency. I bought 2 sets of 2 pillows = 4 pillows. I swap them out. Pillows are like mattresses, every individual has a different interpretation of comfort when it comes to their own body. These pillows are no exception. They are very comfortable and the memory foam is very soft. I did have to take a couple of handfuls out of the pillow to make them just right for me. I feel like they have good support and I do not have any issues with neck pain at the moment. My only “issue” is that the memory foam tends to bind together within the pillow, kind of like they attach to each other and creates more of a solid pillow as opposed to loose foam within a pillow. Kind of hard to describe but not unpleasant just, unusual . I’ve had memory foam pillows in the past that are filled with crushed foam and foam tends to move around within the zippered casing, these do not do that once you find the shape and size that you’re trying to achieve they tend to stay in that form. I would still recommend them as they are comfortable. They do have an odor when they first arrive but after a week or two that has disappeared. ... show more

I left them for 3 days and they never poofed up like the pictures. I even put them on air dry in the dryer and they are still kind of flat looking.

These may be the best feeling pillows I have ever owned. I sleep so good on these. The only bad thing is the zippers, both of mine broke. If they could get that fixed these are awesome.

This pillow is amazing! I got two to replace the “extras” I used to have on my bed behind the decorative pillows. I have a different pillow that I sleep on every night which is a solid gel memory foam that my head sinks into perfectly. I wanted fluffy, more full pillows but still wanted a cushy memory foam, and these are PERFECT. The fact that you can remove foam to adjust them to your preferred fullness is incredibly useful. These are exactly what I wanted - fluffy and full, but still cushy with the “sink into it” feel. They are perfect to use on the sofa when I want more support and fullness than my gel memory foam pillow offers. They also look lovely on my bed behind the decorative pillows. Overall, I am thrilled with the pillows. I do not know if I would be happy with one if I had to use it as the primary pillow that supports my head at night, as I would have to remove a huge amount of foam to make it flat enough not to bother my neck, which could create a lumpy/uneven surface due to lack of density. . However, without trying it I can’t say for sure if it wouldn’t work out just fine. Regardless, I love the pillows. They suit my purpose perfectly! Regarding the smell - a smell is noticeable at first as is normal with memory foam, but I removed the outermost pillow covers and washed them, letting the memory foam chunks air out in the thin inner sack for a day. After fitting the pillows with the newly washed pillow covers and putting on pillow cases, no smell was detectable. ... show more

Wow!!! Buy these!!! I just decided to replace my memory foam pillows that I've had for about 8 years. (I know you should replace pillows more often for sanitary reasons. It just wasn't really on my mind to do so because mine were still in great shape.) My previous pillows were more of a solid block of foam...and were really great. When I opened these from Amazon, I wasn't quite sure if I would like them. They came completely flat rolled up. The directions said they would puff up after about 20 minutes. Even then, I wasn't sure if I would like them. These are shredded memory foam...and as I said before, my previous pillows were solid blocks of memory foam. But I decided to give them a try. I let them air out for a day because new memory foam has that plastic odor, which does go away. The first night I put them in the pillow cases, I had to punch them a bit and fluff them up. I tell you what - I woke up the next morning feeling as if I had laid my head on a cloud. The foam didn't really shift much while I slept and they are so comfortable. I think that they actually feel better because the foam is shredded. They are puffier than my previous pillows and kind of give you that down comforter stuffed feeling. I would totally recommend you buy these...the price is very reasonable. When I get ready for bed at night, I'm still a bit startled with how soft and fluffy these are in the pilow case at the first touch. They feel amazing!
